  1. Thanks for the reply, Bryan. I didn't receive a notification to say you had responded, and I've also been away so sorry for the delay. By Landing data, I mean that during the descent checklist, the First Officer calls for Landing Data, and my response has always been "VRef nnn ... Minimums nnn feet". Whilst the green text will reflect correctly what I say, the first officer will not read it back any more, nor will he respond to any other subsequent command. (Although if I call flaps 1, the flaps will change etc but no confirmation from FO.) I am using SOP Set 1. Thanks Rob Padgham
  2. Hello Bryan, This problem has now happened twice in a row, where NGXReboot works perfectly until the descent checklist, and FO doesn't respond to the landing data. All was working fine previous to P3DV4.3 upgrade, but now I get this problem which results in a CTD. I have tried resetting audio, cancelling the checklist using "Let's start again" or "Cancel the checklist", and as a test I called for Flaps 5 and the FO responded by actioning Flaps 5, but with no vocal response. Both crashes have occured whilst clicking on the FS2Crew panel trying to resolve the problem. I've read numerous other posts on this, but none of the fixes seem to apply to me - my headset is working fine and fs2crew green text is appearing. I have no sound bloatware and as stated it was working fine previously. I am using Reboot version 3.1. Any ideas? Many thanks. Rob Padgham
  3. Thank you, yes I was using Active Sky Next + Soft Clouds with Rex 4 Texture Direct providing the upper cloud layers. I'd be grateful if you could move the post for me. Many thanks Rob I should have added that this is the Steam version of ASN. Thanks!
  4. Hi All, I've searched using various terms but can't find anything on this. I'm having trouble with the drawing of clouds. Here is a pic ... Does anyone know what causes this is, or should I post somewhere else? I am steering toward ORBX, because I have only seen this problem whilst appraoching England, and whilst approaching Norway and I have both in FTX, although this pic was captured whilst approaching Norway without FTX Norway activated in scenery library. I am using: Windows 7, i7 2600 OC to 4.4Ghz, 16Gb 2133RAM Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 FSX with DX10 Fixer ORBX Global ORBX Vector ORBX Open LC Europe FTX England FTX Norway Active Sky Next + Soft Clouds REX 4 Texture Direct For Higher clouds Any help or suggestions for other forums gratefully received! 5. Thanks all, I tried FSRealtime last night and it doesn't do what I need. I found a small program at FS Mine which has a time converter - I can enter my present Simulator time, then enter a reporting time (eg. oceanic or an ETA), and it will spit out the true Zulu equivalent. I prefer daylight flying: having spent a lot of money on scenery, It's nice to be able to see it!! and the PMDG taxi lights aren't too useful at unfamiliar airports. Thanks again. Rob Padgham
  6. Hi all. Sorry if this is covered elsewhere - if it is I can't find it! I would like to offset my flying time so that I can fly in daylight, (easily done in FSX > Time & Date), but I would like the aircraft to show the true Zulu Time (UTC) on the clock and in the FMC. This would make position reporting a whole lot easier. I flew an Iceland event two days ago, and got so confused because I was unable make an oceanic request because I couldn't work out the estimated times quick enough! I've tried reading about FS Realtime, but the info is quite technically advanced and I'm not sure it does what I want it to. Hope I've made this clear enough. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Rob Padgham
  7. That's great, thanks guys. There's some interesting points here for me to go and look at. I did think of hand flying it, but I knew ATC would be barking at me immediately after take off, so I flew direct to the first waypoint. It'll be interesting to see if it does adjust itself as Larry suggests. I will try this tomorrow. I'll also have to learn what a leg intercept is! Hopefully something I already know but didn't know it was called that. Thanks again guys. It's good to know my NGX isn't broken, and it's great to get the support from those more knowledgeable than myself! Rob Padgham
  8. Hi. I have a problem with inputting Heathrow Runway 9R Midhurst 3 Juliet into my FMC. All looks good until I input my cruise level into PERF INIT, when the ND shows that I am to fly a 360 degree loop directly over the end of the runway. I have performed the procedures correctly, having set up the INIT REF, Route, DEP/ARR and PERF INIT. I have asked over at Navigraph forum, and the Mod there has the same problem with the NGX, but not with the 777 which uses the same Airac data. I am using: FSX Steam, Win7 64bit, Airac 1601 and I'm up to 770 hours on NGX Does anyone have an ideas about this, or is having the same problem? Thanks! Rob Padgham
  9. Thanks Joe, I checked again this morning and it's gone! I guess you are right, it wasn't coming from FSX. Regards. Rob
  10. Hi all, All of a sudden I'm getting a Directx 10 frame counter and graphics card report showing in FSX;SE which wasn't there this morning. It shows up right over my menu bar of FSX on the top left and is a cyan colour. It's extremely annoying, and the only thing I remember doing is pressing an update button which popped up when I opened DX10 controller. Has anyone got an idea of where this has come from and how I can get rid of it? http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/eKx Thanks. Rob Padgham
  11. Thanks again Bryan. Your solution above worked perfectly. Now up and running and can't wait to give it a try! Rob Padgham
  12. Thank you Bryan. You're correct - no panel opens when I click the SEC button. I'll give your suggestion a try when I get home this evening. Thanks again. Rob Padgham.
  13. Hi. I've looked everywhere for an answer to this, and I'm at the end of my tether. I have installed and re-installed Reboot (Steam), both times with admin rights. I have started FSX with admin rights. I have activated NGX rebbot via the config manager.(Did this first). I have the Trike showing on the free flight screen. I have started the NGX with both engines off and engines on. I am starting in 2D cockpit mode. I have assigned a Main keyboard button. This is working and the long thin panel appears at the top of the screen. I have assigned a secondary button - this too is working (assuming this will trigger the FO to start a checklist. I have assigned a hard mute button. This is not working as I cannot get into the secondary panel to change to voice settings or any other settings. The "SEC" button on the main panel isn't working. I cannot get it to work. Can you please shed some light on this? I have followed the instructions to the letter as far as I can see. Thanks Rob Padgham
  14. Sorry! Hopefully this will work. If this hasn't worked, please ignore this post. I really can't be bothered to spend any longer on it. If I stay on the centerline of the runway, I'll be fine Rob Padgham
  15. How strange! It showed the pic when I posted but now it doesn't! I'll try again. Rob Padgham *EDIT*: It appears I can only get it to appear in Firefox (or possibly Chrome) . The joys and tribulations of Internet explorer - I'm too inept to work out how to do it! Sorry Chris and thanks for trying
