What kind of system would I need?
Even once I get all this stuff seeing some other threads about then tweaking the sim lol. It seems like there will be constant tweaking regardless of the hardware. I don't mind some tweaking to the sim but adding like 50 lines to the cfg is not my idea of fun.

What kind of system would I need?
Very interesting, I honestly don't mind toning down the sliders it was just with FSX I could never get a nice balance of the sim looking nice and performing well. I always felt that with the computer I am using I should of been able to run FSX at pretty high settings with the add-ons running but it just wasn't the case. So it seems waiting for Pascal is the right thing to do. Now is that gonna be one of those things where you need more than 1 or will 1 be enough?

What kind of system would I need?
So i've done a lot of research on what components to put into my system but at this point I am more confused than ever. As I mentioned in the first post I want to run ASN, Rex+Soft Clouds, FTX Global, vector, Trees, PMDG level, and say FSDT airports. What components are a must have for me to get excellent performance or will it not matter and no system will run great with all those add-ons?

Another "will my system be sufficient" question :-)
I know with FSX there was always people asking about tweaking the sim. With P3D is there all that tweaking as well or is this more a just slide the sliders around till you find the FPS that you are looking for?

MyTraffic 6 - installed but.............
What schedule does MT6 use? Do they still offer that live traffic thing as an add-on?

Video card brand?
I don't mind getting 3 nvidia cards but trying to do a 3 monitor setup someone told me that 3 AMD R9 cards do better in a 3 monitor setup is that true? That is what I had gathered so far.

Video card brand?
Just curious which is more compatible with P3D Nvidia or AMD? Or should I say which brand helps P3D perform better or is there really no difference, and in that case it would come down to price.

Just discovering every day, what's more to really admire about P3D v3.2
15 FPS is completely stutter free and everything is smooth? I wouldn't care about FPS if it was smooth but I have never seen 15 FPS be smooth before. If this sim can actually do that then I won't be so worried about the hardware I get.

What kind of system would I need?
Right now probably just 1. I don't know if it's worth getting a 2nd because I do not have enough workspace to put a 3rd monitor so I dunno if some people use 2 monitors to sim? Is there any concrete info of when that might be coming out though? I saw speculation but not much actual info.

What kind of system would I need?
There are just too many options lol. Just when I think I have figured out what I want I read something else and it changes my mind. So basically this is what I have it narrowed down too at the moment. 1. Top of the line I7 processor the 5960x seems good. My question is how fast can I OC it? 2. Ok I looked at the Nvidia 980 ti and it seems like a good card. I am guessing though I need 3? On the other hand would it be better if I just get 2 GTX Titan X cards instead of 3 980 ti cards? I honestly could not figure out which was the better card lol so if someone could tell me which is better I'd appreciate it. 3. Obviously I need a massive power supply I know basically NOTHING about those so any suggestions in that regard would be helpful. 4. I would also like a top of the line liquid cooling unit. I saw that the 980 card has an option to get built in cooling not sure how good that works but I saw there is an option for it. 5. 2 500GB SSD already know which of those I want. 6. Right now I am thinking of getting 32GB of RAM. I currently have 2133 RAM but I have noticed there is faster RAM now so I figured might as well get 32 again just faster. 7. I have no clue about motherboards so any suggestions about that would be great. 8. Also any tower suggestions would be helpful as I have never picked out a tower before. Thank you in advance for the suggestions. Also could someone please explain to me why the i7-5930k is like 650 bucks while the i7-5960x is like 1250?

Your list of stuff sounds almost exactly what I already have although a couple years older. Have those things improved a lot in the couple years since I got my computer?

What kind of system would I need?
So after thinking about it for a couple days and seeing what others have done with their sims I thought it might be a good idea to explore just getting a second computer. This was the point where I went wrong last time and just had a company build me a PC without really understanding the hardware that was going into it except for just picking the more expensive options since I figured with computer hardware the higher price the better which turned out not to be the case. Basically I would like a system that can run all these add-ons and still provide good FPS. Now I do realize it could very well just not be possible to have this list of addons running at the same time and still get excellent performance. The addons I would like running are as follows: 1. FTX Global, Vector, Trees. Maybe the EU stuff haven't really flown in the EU but have thought about getting it. 2. Active Sky Next 3. Rex 4+Soft Clouds 4. My Traffic whatever build it is now. 5. PMDG level aircraft 6. Add-on airports such as FSDT, FlyTampa, FlightBeam What kind of system or hardware would I need to get good FPS such as a constant 30+ FPS and minimal to no micro stuttering during all phases of flight with all those add-ons running and P3D settings either maxed or close to maxed as possible? Or is what I am asking just not possible? Thank you in advance.

So what's going on at REX?
I am moving from FSX to P3D. I used Rex 4 texture direct+soft clouds in FSX. Do I need to buy a new version of both for P3D?

Is it worth it?
So I am gonna go forth with at least upgrading a couple things on my computer. First thing is I need a new cooling system. Can anybody suggest a top of the line cooling system? I will also get another GFX card. Since I already have a Titan does it make sense to buy another Titan type card or is there a better card out there now? Also figure might as well get a new processor one that I would hope can get close to 5.0 GHZ when OC'd. Thank you in advance.

Is it worth it?
What add-ons are you using? I also noticed you are using windowed mode is that supposed to increase FPS?

Is it worth it?
See I had that idea at the beginning and did exactly that. I gradually added everything back but I never found a way to get what I thought was a reasonable amount of add-ons working at the same time. I then see people post videos on youtube with inferior systems than mine in some regards and they seem to get outstanding performance that I never came close to achieving. So I thought maybe P3D could help me experience what I wanted to see out of a flight sim.

Is it worth it?
A year ago or so I had a computer built specifically to run FSX. I can't even imagine how many add-on airports/planes/scenery/misc items I bought in that time. Once I had all the stuff I wanted the sim just could not run smooth. Sure there were moments when everything was great but the majority of time when takeoff/landing at the nice payware airports it all went in the tank. Nothing I tried fixed anything. My computer I think is decent enough to run FSX it's a I7-4770 Oc'd at 4.4 I have 32 GB of RAM, a GTX Titan card. Now maybe there is something hardware related I overlooked. I thought maybe moving to P3D might give me better performance but I know very little about the platform. Would P3D give me better performance with my hardware? I realize I'd have to re-buy some add-ons and that's fine with me if I knew I could run them all and get good performance. This is the stuff I wanted to run each flight. A payware aircraft PMDG etc, ASN, FTX Global Vector whatever it's called now. REX TEXTURE Direct, REX Soft Clouds. And then I don't even know what AI traffic add-ons work with P3D. Is it possible to create a system that can have all those add-ons running and still get smooth performance in all phases of a flight or is that just not possible no matter how much I wanted to spend.
