  1. Trees Schmeez ... Problem in EVERY sim. FSW which I use on the laptop has trees in sports stadium at Chicago if using DD Chicago X, Aerofly FS2 (and maybe 4) has trees on roads and this one has too many and too high. I do not remember if the Australia V2 add on fixed this in FSX or not, and I do not know about P3D and XP. Best thing is to take off and get up to 3-5000 feet and it does not look so bad.

No need for that I guess, it is actually a good title altough I in particular didn't quite understand what you mean by double card ? One onboard and a 2nd One you installed or some sort of NVIDIA SLI / AMD Crossfire ?

My machine is one that has two Video cards. The first is the Radeon Vega that is the one that handles most of the day to day laptop activities like email etc. The second is an Nvidia 1060 3gb one that is for games. I have updated my Ram now to 16gb but the video cards are not upgradeable unless I buy a better machine. I am thinking that if I do that then I will not have the fun of fiddling with it to get it to improve performance.

  3. Looking at the responses I think I should have phrased the OP a little bit differently. I was just musing over the total cost of all the add ons and whether or not anyone had actually bought them all. I did not mean to cast any aspersions on anyone regarding their financial status. I apologise for any offence. 😟

  4. This question arose from me logging into MSFS this morning and seeing the announcement that there are 700 products on sale in the market place! I got my little  brain cell thinking .... 700 times ...... = ?

  5. I know there are some out there who are very rich but has anyone ever worked out the total cost of buying all MSFS add ons? I bought all the Orbx scenery for Australia/NZ but that is nothing compared to everything available. Are we dumb or what?

  6. A couple of times I have thought about getting an X Box. That way my grand kids would have something to play when they stay over too. I was wondering if I have the Steam MSFS whether it would play on the XBox or would I have to purchase another version specific to that platform? Also which model of the XBox would I need to buy from an MSFS point of view?

  7. Thanks for posting that Bill, how are the rest of the Gates family by the way? 😀

Just kidding. I cannot understand how 25% of reviews would be negative myself. This is the best simulator. I am thinking though that with all these abundant world and service updates we might end up with bloatware and a hit on frame rates eventually. Maybe a switchboard might come in where you select an area to fly in and it only loads that area into the device you use might be useful.

  8. Thank you for posting this. I was wondering the same thing. A lot of Youtube reviewers get out of their planes to show the airports they are at and I have never been able to do that like they can. I think there was a slew command in FSX. The Y keyboard key seems to ring a bell. It does not seem the same but it works.

And you just cost me $55 for four more airports 😕   LOL

    Oceana: Australia

Yeah well I spent $170 AUD myself but now have all the Orbx Oceania stuff. I figure I get my monies worth by spending so many hours exploring all these great places. By the way if you have the reefworld scenery then you might want to get the Reefworld added scenery by projectzero3923 at flightsim.to It adds some static items to enhance the original AUScene one and it is free.

  10. The answer to your question IMHO depends on what sort of flying you want to do. If you want flying with full real settings and ultra graphics enabled then probably not. If like me you are happy with medium settings and not so much into the study level planes then yes I would say your setup should be fine. I have an i5 laptop with 8gb of ram and a dual video card set up of 2gb for regular work and a 3gb nvidia. With medium settings enabled I get mid 20's FPS. One thing, I see you are from New York and the bridges around the island are borked in photogrammetry. You will need to buy the all 29 bridges scenery supplement from Simmarket to get ones that look like they do not have curtains hanging down underneath. If I flew around there every day or even a few times per week I would buy that.
