When I tried this it looked like I got correct looking single story houses around my area with Bing and two story not real looking ones using Google. I also noticed that tree height was better with google. I now use Rex Accuseason and the 75% height tree mod which makes bing look a bit better.

I did a reinstall yesterday because I want to start fresh with that addon manager app. Just picking uninstall in steam does not do it. I found that I had to manually delete the Microsoft Flight Simulator folders on my machine. Then I was still a bit bemused to find that my steam folder on my PC still had 130gb left in it!

I was wondering ......... Please forgive my ignorance but is it possible to have your community folder on the or in the cloud? If they keep releasing these compulsory updates, SU's and WU's then my laptop is going to run out of storage space. Allowing that I have bought most sceneries from ORBX for Australia/NZ my folder is 130GB. 

Another user mentioned potential problems in New York so I took a flight from Laguardia and yes the bridges look like they have curtains hanging down underneath. I might see if I can get unload this update.

I have the P40 from Big Radials and dare I say it .... the Yak 9. I use the Yak for my Moscow landmarks scenery flying. 

Well when you think about it 99.9% of us will never fly a real plane so therefore we are all passengers when we fly in real life. This app is probably more relevant to our lives than MSFS.

Idly looking through Steam this morning and noticed this one. It is a sim for passengers not flight crew. For those who like flying cattle class and have money to spend, check it out. This morning my connection was a bit iffy and I could not synch steam or download some of my forum sites. This happens now and again here. So, I was wondering what backup you lot use for your flying fix if the magic of internet has died on you? Or do you wait for the internet to get better.

Personally I think I have a couple of boxed editions of FSX that do not require internet and good old FS95. 😀

jbdbow1970's earlier comment reminded me of my old Flight Sim World and the first airport they ever released as an add on was .... Big Bear! Before then I had never heard of the place but it was a pretty good add on really.

Up till a few months ago I used to have FS95 on one of my old laptops and that still worked in Win 10. FS98 was a lot better. MSFS beats them all. Enjoy.

Since the download I am getting freezes and CTD's. I am thinking of uninstalling MSFS and going back to my previous sim. Every time I get my game running nicely an update comes along and causes grief. 

I deleted my last 6 additions to the Community folder and things seem to have settled down. I am never quite sure what these small tweaks and updates do. Some say nothing, others say updates like SU9 are disaster. On the whole though we seem to be progressing in the right direction for most people.

Auscene Lord Howe Island looks good.

I had a small up date waiting for me when I fired up my sim this morning and since installing it I have crashed to desktop twice. Once in mid flight and the other after I completed a flight. Anyone else had this happen today?

For me with ACCU Sim Seasons set to 75% tree height and PG disabled the trees look right but the buildings. do not. With PG on the buildings are a lot better but the trees are too tall. I go with PG on and altitude to make it look better.

Flying Carpet, I am a fan of eye candy and love to take off and fly around my own house and suburb in a light plane. I think each World Update brings a lot of joy to those who live in the areas covered by the update (I do not believe Sydney started out with a Harbor Bridge when I first tried this game). But .... for each tweak that comes out some people are negatively affected. The majority are not and are happy imho. Perhaps if you had glaring errors in your local scenery and an update fixed that you might feel differently.

Just wondering ..... would it not be better to save money by using the XBox game bar on your PC and paying the monthly sub after your $1 month? I believe that you can do that and even the older computer will work well with the cloud based game.

Settings can be fiddly. I do not know if you have done this but delete and the validate the change for each one not working then assign and validate each one again.  That worked for me when a couple of my buttons did not do anything.  

I think the fix did some good around Malta. I changed to Google and turned off Bing and  Photogrammetry to see if it looked any better or ran faster. I could not see any improvement in FPS. I restored my settings and went for a fly around my local airport Parafield. Barely any trees at all! A reboot fixed that though. 

Hobart escin obviously has no patience. He gives up in the first month. It has taken me nearly 6 months to get to know even a little bit about this sim. 

I flew around Malta and it was pretty awful. I have deleted WU9.
