  1. If you're familiar with the various scenery libraries, you can bring custom objects from them into Simheaven X-World to generate alternative buildings for the area where you fly by modifying the library.txt in layer 6. Don't ask me how because it's been too long and it took me a few days to get the hang anyway, but works fine where I fly in North America. In log.txt you'll undoubtedly get notices about "bad gamma" but the sim ignores them and carries on and there's never a problem. Hopefully the next gen scenery won't remove the ability to use these old libraries because I've got too much time invested populating custom airports with them and they're coordinated with SH buildings so things are homogeneous, but I'm making sure to save all iterations of XP and those libraries just in case.
  2. Aside from a few frills here and there, doesn't seem like there's a lot to warrant switching from the BB PC-6. OTOH there's a compelling backstory so I might buy it anyway and keep as a backup to mess around with personally. Worth supporting these developers. One thing I did notice in watching AVAngel's video was the absence of a stall horn when landing on the sandbar, altho there was a stall warning light. I key off the stall horn a lot for short tight landings and usually expect to hear it right before touchdown.
  3. Nice that it's the analog version. Beta mode is an absolute requirement so will be expecting that and interested to see how it's implemented. Currently using the Blackbird version extensively, but willing to take a look at this one if the reviews are good.
  4. Just wanted to echo support for the Blackbird PC-6 Porter. Flies smoothly in both MS24 and MS20 with my system (Intel i7-10700 2.9 GHz 32 GB RAM, RTX3080 10 GB). An ITT bug was recently fixed by Blackbird so the plane hasn't been forgotten. If a fully updated 24 version comes out I'll be one of the first in line. As well as being a mild mannered taildragger with lots of power, the PC-6 is renown for its real life ability to support steep beta descents. The Blackbird version models that effectively, unlike the in house version. Fun to do that occasionally in the sim. Better not try with a sinus cold though. 😉 Just finished flying in the Porter to 749 airports and airstrips scattered throughout western New Guinea and Papua New Guinea. Lots of community scenery contributions at iO as well as native in-sim representation of destinations. Great for bush flying.
  5. Blackbird (Milviz) PC6 just got an update. Says it's for 2020 but the plane also flies in 2024. Fixed the ITT issue for the analog version when starting on the rwy along with a few other things. Email notification of the update which installed no problem.
