What is the current VR of choice today for MSFS?
flibberflops replied to raymar's topic in Virtual Reality (VR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)1) If you want the clarity.... the Pimax Cystal Light seems to be th way to go.(or possibly a varjo aero if you can find a cheap 2nd hand one... reasonable ones do pop up on ebay) 2) With Slightly less clarity but much wider FOV... go for the Pimax 8KX (you can't buy these new now but can can be found on ebay at pretty reasonable prices) (Note both of these options really need the mother of CPU/GPU combos) 3) Finally on the value end (and probably better as an all round VR experience) the quest 3 seems to be the prudent choice.

BeyondATC Discord FAQ
Their are plenty of Businesses dressing up regular payment models. If you have to pay xx amount every xx weeks (depending on your use) then to me that has always been and always will be just another disgused subscription. There seems little doubt that this release is not going to be a one off payment for the continued use of the full features of this product... therefore however you choose to described their continual charging model is just gravy. I am sure that the developers of BATC will do an oustanding job of spinning any potential regular payment system as "NOT a subscription", I don't think they are in need of any members assistance.

A2A Comanche has been released!
I think you have misunderstood my post. I like the advance flight model and the intricacies of flying the 250, i just don't bond with the comanche as an entity. Many years ago I rocked around in the A2A C172 in flying old school VOR in P3D... loved it. I don't know what it is about the comanche, I just don't find it endering at all.

A2A Comanche has been released!
I know in here this is going to be a welcome as a cold-nosed dog in a nudist camp but... I dunno why but I really can't get on with the Comanche! I have now completed about a dozen hours in the 250 and although their is little doubt that the realism, sound and attention to detail is completely off the scale, for some reason I just do not bond with it at all. It finally came to a head recently when I experienced some kind of inflight engine failure. As I slowly drifted towards the ground and whipped out the old emergancy checklist I realised I didn't give a fig about it at all. In fact I was more concerned about my virtual doggo sat next to me! I've now migrated back to the humble C182. Yeah it not even in the same league as the 250 but for some reason I find it far more full of character... and something I actually care about keeping out of the shrubbery!

ATC and Pilots The Same Voice
It strikes me that there is a huge list of thing that is wrong with ATC... but more concerning is that there seems to also be another large list of really simple things to fix on ATC, things that seem like it would only take minimal effort to fix. Yet, update after update we see no ATC tweaks or improvements. High on that list is this fact that you have highlighted. Microsoft are creaming themselves over pushing how good Azure AI can be... and yet after years they still haven't got to a situation where they use more than 3 different voices. My other top three ridiculously easy ATC things to fix are... 1) ATC Pronunciation.... eg why is "4 miles" spoken as if they are saying "for miles" 2) Traffic in sight... at 6 o'clock with 3k altitude difference. Standby whie I open the roof viewing hatch to take a look. 3) ATC not leaving gaps in comms when the radio is busy... and then even chasing for response when you can't get chance to cue the mic Yeah I know there are a lot of serious stuff wrong with ATC... but blimey there are also a lot of quick fixes out there that could atleast show some willing!
