This is the real issue to talk about... It did make it difficult to understand and use. SI traffic releases today, I'm curious if they'll have the same issue.

FSHud, P2atc, and SI have all figured it out... Sim data is inaccurate, not good for realistic procedures, end of story. Even MSFS team admits it's nowhere near good enough for their own ATC?

Yeah, but if the scenery data is even a little incorrect or incomplete, it won't let you fly at all. Tells you to contact the scenery developer instead of fixing the data themselves.... Not great.

Imagine blaming procedural and data issues on scenery devs, instead of fixing the issue.... Lazy approach. Why I switched to another AI program.. they gave us a way to edit and fix the data ourselves.. They don't use incomplete sim data, and instead manage their own database... All of it shows ownership of the issue. And it reflects in their quality... Never had an airport fail due to scenery issues with them.. I don't understand why the community puts up with this from batc??

Buddy.... Have you seen your post history... You post about SI more than I do...! I have no need for a competition... I have an annual subscription... I've already pre-ordered the aviator edition myself... And I post about other ATC addons... Trying these all out have been the highlight of my year in swimming!

Have tried that program and all others in this thread.... I disagree... ! What a pain of a program to use! Barely useable voice recognition and horrible phrasing...

Does BATC work with 2024?? I want to try all my ATC apps before the weekend ends...

I agree... GSX caused so many issues.. I'm surprised this thread isn't more popular.. But if I've learned anything during these few weeks here... They must be doing something right if people here aren't commenting on it... The only active threads are filled with miserable people with too many complaints.. This addon makes me happy, my sim better, and my day better every time I'm on their discord.. (even though I HATE discord.)

Lol .. me too.. I didn't even notice that requirement! I just tried the fshud "silent test"... If you don't want to use your voice... That's the way to go. Far far better experience than BATC... Same quality voices.. better instructions.. better traffic.. better map.. WAY better vectoring... no microtransactions.. it's a winner in my book. I'm still sticking with SayIntentions... Far more advanced... But in your situation I say look into fshud.

SayIntentions for me... I was able to do things exactly like I used to 20 years ago. Unreal to me how good it works

Ok wow this is really cool.. also he mentioned AI voice prices dropping?? Will BATC lower their voice prices 50%?? I saw they use the same service on their opening splash screen...

Just tried my first flight with it.. overall okay.... Adds some really cool visuals while taxiing.. But... I think it's only activating traffic at your arrival and departure airport. I thought I remembered the dev talk about how you could follow planes and watch them go to, and come from other airports.. I didn't notice any enroute aircraft, although I did a shorter flight and that could be on me. Next flight I tried to follow 2 planes with drone. Eventually they just went in a straight line indefinitely and overflew whatever their destination was. Seemed a bit.. I dunno.. underwhelming.

Been following them a while ... They've been plagued by bad sim data and it sounds like the traffic will be just as affected by it ... Couldn't fly out of some of my favorite airports because of it.

Wow... Just tried their new AI copilot on their test server... I don't think I've experienced anything as advanced as that in my 20+ years of flight sim.. incredible.

I've seen a few of their weekly live casts, and their company address that point in the ones I've seen. They have a fairly large team now, and all this other stuff is contributions from those other team members, not from the ATC devs. I think they have over 20 volunteers working on projects there? I think it's smart of them to do that, allows for the same resources applied towards ATC development while also giving us a bunch of these high value side features. I don't fly without a tourguide anymore personally. The tech they use gives us some really cool options. But to each their own 🙂
