  1. Hi all. I am sure some of my time wasted with 2024 setup could help you. My system I am running 2024 on a 3060(12gb vram) gpu with i9 13900k on a B760 motherboard with 32 GB ram and a 300Mbps Wi-Fi connection. I upgraded from 2020 to 2024 as I mostly fly helicopters and 2024 seemed to natively have support and the visuals are quite phenominal. The helicopters I used in 2020 are picked up as aeroplanes (as the marketplace is not active yet) so I could not setup helicopter specific controls and axis's easily. Lots of crashes and reinstalls and manual inserting things to have the cloud info kick in and overwrite them. Yay NOT Controller profiles importer Please use this free software I found (albeit a little on the complicated side), manages to bring your 2020 controllers over into 2024 https://flightsim.to/file/85361/migrate-fs2020-controller-configs-to-fs2024 Internet connection - needs to be consistent - I had such intermittent data and load crashes that I eventually plugged in a CAT5e cable to the router and it really helped with load times and successful starting of 2024 even though my wifi is faster... PC Time setting on your PC -There is a web article about syncing your system time too before playing... that helped a bit too GLOBAL GRAPHICS setting - I had to set the lowest (Low End) global graphics to get it to start with my 3060. Nvidia PhysX With Nvidia make sure you set your PhysX settings to your GPU and not auto - a friend sent me these links about 50 series cards dropping frames and support for older 32 bit games and programs. Worth a watch Thanks and good luck when you get there 🙂
  2. found this link which might be helpful - helped me 🙂 https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/17060350083612-How-to-delete-a-cloud-save-to-fix-some-loading-or-crashing-issues-Crashing-on-the-identity-screen-spawning-inside-buildings
  3. Hi Captain Tom, Like most things with Microsoft and cloud-based apps you need a valid account linked to an email address. So that's a must do first. @Matt Sdeel - advice is spot on - nice one Definitely check your spam or junk folder as the email could have been marked as spam and put in the junk folder automatically.
  4. Hey that's awesome - I use Ysterplaat (FAYP) as my default take off in MSFS 2020 and I drive past there all the time. I must come and take a look at the Museum. Looking forward to the AirShow in Langebaan this March
  5. Just a quick hello to say that I have loved all things flight related since a child. Did many hundreds of hours in the air with Paragliding in SA, UK, Spain and Portugal. I am 50 years young now so keeping it to the simulation in MSFS 2020 flying helicopters. Hope everyone is as excited as I am to stay airborne. Cheers Winston
