  1. I mean yeah... in the other hand for example if you were able to buy Nvidia stocks during this week's dip than you are probably a bit less frustrated about it.
  2. Hello! Thought about VR for quite some times but for a good while i didn't felt like putting that kind of money into it, but now with Steam Frame on the horizon and stuff like Meta Quest 3 i have to evaulate on that one. My problem would be too fold: as the topic title says i have visual impairment which contains of the fallowing: -Nystagmus [uncontrollable eye movement, in my case along the x axis] -Strabismus [misaligement of the eyes] -Dominant right eye [5% to 15% left to right which doesn't sound like much but for the average reader: this text becomes unreadably blurry on a 1440p monitor from 50cm with my right eye, with my left eye it's unreadable even if i licking the monitor. 😄] -Supression [The brain supresses the weaker eye in favour of the dominant.] Those anyone with any of these conditions experience with VR? How it went? The hardware part: With a RTX4070 super, Ryzen7 7700, 32gig ddr5 6000mhz ram, WD Black SN750 1TB Nvme would be possible to use VR in any capacity? If yes than which existing or upcoming [like steam frame] would be in the reasonable range of my system? [At the moment for Star Citizen, but i would like to try out MFS2024, WT sim battles etc when i finally get a HOSAS.]
  3. Ok... from 0:32 for a good while i couldn't decide if it's flying or it's on the ground... XD Ok given i have absolutly no experience with flying but still...😄
  4. I would define in the case of a xx80/90 that it can't run at least high on 4k i guess. Tho i never had a xx80/90, for quite some time i work with xx70s, currently a 4070 super for wqhd it works fine for me so far. "Luckily" i am visually impaired [and i don't mean that i am ugly 😄 that's just a coencidence] so there is many-many stuff that i don't have to worry about like 4k, gazilion hz monitors, i completly skipped the whole 3D TV scam phase... cuz i can't see the difference or certain technologies just simply won't click with my eyes' conditions. In the case of xx70 i usually buy a new one when inevitably i have to start droping settings to medium on 1440p, my first 70 vas a GTX770 than came my absolutly bonkers MSI Sea Hawk GTX1070 lasted me for 6 years and after that the guy who bought it got back to me if i am rly sure about this cuz he is rocking like 120+ fps in everything he tried... oh god i loved that card so much also that was my best build to this date mini itx fully AiO water cooled with all the performance i needed. The 3070 and 4070 are okay so far but their price... yeah that's off the charts. Sry for the rambling. 😄
  5. That's a totally legit engine choice for a bycicle.😄
  6. I don't know about books but if i remember correctly Mentour Pilot on YouTube do online trainings. I don't know the details tho. Even if you not intrested in that he probably can point you towards some OG material. + He make rly good commercial aviation content anyway so worth to check out.
  7. I hope that we won't see any games in 2-3 years which won't run on ultra settings with a 5080. 😄 On a reasonable resolution ofc.
  8. Hello! New around here. Looking for that "Contact Form for Help with the AVSIM Forums" and i kinda lost... Is this should be the place for it? Also the description of the thread says that i can't post there until 15 comments or until an admin allows it but i can't see almost nothing there too [2 topics from the admins and a singular sale post]. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for the help.
  9. Not only new in the forum but just looking to enter the hobby as a whole. At least when it comes to flight sticks. I was sold on history very early on includeing aviation related topics. I bought a Thrustmaster T. Flight Hotas X back in the days but it have like ~10 hours playtime in it max. 😄 I quickly realised that i can't aim with it in WT due to my massive skill issue and the strong centering of the stick, also the throttle "rudder" buttons just refused to work with MFS2020 and i couldn't bother with the joystick rudder. So i quickly went back to mouse and keyboard. Now looking to give it another try with some proper gear, tho cuz my condition... called "hungarian" i am subjected to absolute crazy VAT [27% hell yeah...] and being dirt poor for life. 😄 [Also we rly rly rly rly like to complain here...] So after checking out the options everyone would find in like ~10 minutes i realised that i probably should go with used market in a niche hobby, which i know nothing about. 😄 If i must i can go with new ones but i would rather not if all things possible... i am lately kinda fond of this thing called ... eating and paying my bills [ok i am not particularly fond of the latter one]. 😄 Which is not a strong starting point lets be fair. Not sure if it's not off-topic for the forum but my main would be Star Citizen, but with a good set i definetly want to try out MFS2024, give WT sim battles another go etc etc.
