February 5Feb 5 For anyone who enjoys flying low and slow in VR, or leaf blowers ,I would highly recommend this new Mini-Max from Emerald scenery design. It’s way more fun than $15 has any right to be. As a footnote, and as I suspected, with that low wing loading it also makes a decent enough ridge soarer with its little 2 stroke turned off and fair breeze ! https://emeraldscenerydesign.com/news/msfs20-24-mini-max-1500r-sport/ 787 captain. February 5Feb 5 Thanks, jon. I hadn't visited the Marketplace for a few days, but the Free Trial was waiting for me today. I took it out for a (test) spin in the Sion/LSGS neighborhood. It looks good and flies well...so far...Will fly some more before the (24-hour) trial period expires... [I distinctly recall flying it, at least freeware versions of it, in my earlier SIMs/FSX...] Cheers...!

February 5Feb 5 On marketplace, right? I have to try and probably buy it! In the early days (i think it was around 30 years ago) couple of family friends built one. Now it looks like a dangerous flying bicycle, but at the time it was quite a nice ultralight plane. Incredibly small and simple but not bad at all.
February 5Feb 5 Author Yes it’s on marketplace now. My uncle who was a jet engine engineer with Rolls Royce used to build and fly radio controlled aircraft.I turned up at his house one day and he took me to the garage and showed me a part built Mini-Max in red, I suppose it was just the same as building a model but on a 1:1 scale. He was probably around 70 at the time and had no flying experience. I suspected when he’d finished he might have let me have a go. Sadly that was about 20 years ago, I think he sold the aircraft still un completed and he is no longer with us, but I’ve always wondered what it would have been like to fly it. Now, with MSFS 24’S graphics, VR, a motion rig and control loading yoke and rudder set up , I now, finally, have a pretty good idea. Another example of the sheer magic of flight simulation. February 6Feb 6 I am using the trial version - it is pretty well done honestly. Seems to cruise around 60 mph (fast) or maybe 40 if you pull the power quite a bit. It's even got an ANR headset simulation if you can't stand the lawn mower after a while LOL. I like the flight model and was able to perform a forward slip to landing in a small crosswind even. It appears to be day-only VFR. There is a transponder and one comm radio. The model and texturing is superb really! I own this dev's Florida scenery and that is also really nice, so I'm not surprised this plane is of the same high quality standard! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
February 6Feb 6 Nice touring shots, Ryan. On the takeoff roll, I was airborne before I knew it…🙂… In the same league as the J-3 Cub; kit plane vs. the legend…and as much fun…

February 6Feb 6 Does it trim nicely? Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
