November 28, 200223 yr Commercial Member Eric-We will have more updates in time. We are completing the infrastructure of the product at the moment- so there isn't much more to see than what we already have. Infrastructure is the most complicated part of a PMDG product because we are building a platform on which to put the graphical stuff that you interact with as a simulation user. For example, all of the data structures to handle the FMC/MCP are being completed- as is the portions of the code that handle the cockpit displays. On my side of the Atlantic, I am hard at work testing the hardware systems of the airplane's logic process..... Electrical system, Hydraulic System, Pneumatics.... all the fun stuff that makes the airplane complicated! I have built the basic framwork for this stuff- and now I'm testing to ensure that it works in a predictable fashion. Next up I'll be installing the logic process to manage failure modes, etc.....So in short- we have lots of stuff that is being completed- but very little of it is graphical in nature! We are also pretty silent at the moment because we are so darned busy getting everyone on the right page with the development process! I'll have quite a bit more time to hang out here after 01DEC02, as I return to flying the line! (Being a Chief Pilot with only a few days off each month is very over-rated! I'm looking forward to having 14-18 days off a month to spend programming!)See you all after Thansgiving!Robert S. November 29, 200223 yr Well I wasn't trying to be sarcastic in anyway. I was trying to get the point across without getting a post deleted, but looks like 1/2 of it failed lol... Anyways hopefully the webmaster will be able to take my point into consideration ;-)Jason
December 3, 200223 yr Hi 4 questions from mop (me :-hah ):-Are you creating the plane with GMAX or FSDS2? FSDS2 users says its much better than GMAX, the effects-chrome-lights etc. Well i dont know if its better or not just a question :)-Can we expect a "inbuild-announcement system"? Ok we can use Flight Deck Companion, but i think its better when its a inbuild gauge (like the DF737 AFAS)-which system are simulated -Weather Radar, TCAS etc- (maybe its too early for this question?)-are you planning a BOXED version? i think this is good for people without a credit cardThx for your upcoming project, you are my hero :-lol ! http://www.schockwellenreiter.de/images4/anbet2.gif-------------------------------------------best,http://mitglied.lycos.de/sithious/banner.gif RoyalSkies.CO.UK Youtube Vidz !My website will be back soon with new paints and videos! December 3, 200223 yr Commercial Member The airplane is actually being built in 3D Studio Max 4.26, then ported to GMAX and finally to MSFS2k2. Don't worry... all the bells and whistles will be there...What will be included? Almost everything but the beverage cart... Go check out http://www.precisionmanuals.com. You won't be disappointed.Boxed version? Yes, we are making arrangements right now so hopefully that will work out...VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gif Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
