July 1, 200322 yr This information is located in the html documentation of the product.PMDG Software License/RegistrationThis software is security-protected - it can be used only on the computer it is installed on. The first time EVER the customer installs the 737NG, our protection mechanism will create a TEMPORARY internal license key that allows you an IMMEDIATE 10-day grace period, before the software is rendered unusable. This grace period is designed to ensure that you may begin enjoying your new software immediately. The software will alert you to the need for registration every time you load the program. Once your 10-day grace period has expired, you will be unable to use the software. To register your software, please follow the instructions that are presented when you pull down the PMDG/REGISTRATION DETAILS menu.NOTE: IN ORDER TO PROCESS YOUR REGISTRATION, you MUST include all required information listed below:In order for PMDG to verify ownership and issue a permanent license key, the user needs to provide us with the following pieces of information:a) The purchase order # sent to you by email after your purchase wasconfirmed.:( The registration code that is generated for their PC via the"Registration Details -> Extend Registration..." menu option. With these two pieces of information, PMDG creates a license key that is valid for your PC ONLY, as this license key depends on certain unique identification of hardware such as Motherboard, Hard Disk, etc. This license key is permanent for the duration / lifetime of our product.IMPORTANT: If you foresee changes to your hardware configuration(upgrading the motherboard, BIOS, reformatting of their hard disk /changing of their installed operating system), you will need toUNREGISTER/TRANSFER your license from the current installation. To do this, select UNREGISTER/TRANSFER from the PMDG/REGISTRATION DETAILS menu. You will be provided with a confirmation code that, when forwarded to PMDG will allow us to issue you a new registration code. For example:A) Prior to upgrading your processor, complete the unregistration process. You will be provided with a confirmation number. RECORD THIS NUMBER.:( Install your new hardware components.C) Run the EXTEND REGISTRATION process. You will be given a newregistration code.D) EMAIL BOTH OF THESE CODES to [email protected] and we will provide you with a new license.Failure to generate an UNREGSITER/TRANSFER code may cause PMDG to refuse issuance of a new license for this software. For that reason, please contact us before upgrading if you are not absolutely certain of these instructions! We will help you!
July 1, 200322 yr Hi!I was just wandering what drawbacks there could arise by, let's say an inadvertent HD crash, or someone's little brain simply forgetting to send a TRANSFER request prior to motherboard/HD change or formatting respectively. Have these possibilities been thought for? I don't want to start a new conversation about your method of security being correct or not. I just want problems to be avoided, as I 'm seriously drooling over the 737NG pics! Personaly am about to format some discs, so unfortunately, I think i'll have to wait a bit to enjoy the aircraft, although the necessary files are being downloaded! ;-)
July 1, 200322 yr Dimosthenis, since there is a 10 day grace I imagine it would give you enough time to sample the aircraft now, format your drives, reinstall, then get the license for your newly formatted hard drive in a few days :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
July 1, 200322 yr When FS2004 arrives, is possible to intall the 737 in both FS2002 and 2004 at the same time without messing up the system?BrSteen P
July 1, 200322 yr Thanks for the useful tip John!Initial comment though is a more generaly oriented. I just wrote it to forecome difficulties the PMDG people could possibly face. If i had a destroyed HD myself I propably would not be sane enough to write! LOL
July 1, 200322 yr I am not sure about this. Lefteris will be able to answer this question once he is available again.

July 1, 200322 yr Hi there,I tried to activate this registration process out of the menu in FS2k2, but I get only warped to somewhere very high and without textures shown in the spotview. No, FS2k2 just crashes back to my desktop when I try this reg process. Nothing else happens.I will deinstall it and reinstall it all over again now and see if that does any good. Regards, Torben Hadler
July 1, 200322 yr Hi, I have just purchased your product! I am getting a new computer in a few days, so is it possible to install the product on my old computer without activating it, and then install it on my new computer and then activate the product?RegardsFloris Hartog
