PMDG Software License/Registration Instructions

Featured Replies

I think you got it wrong. You need to mail the purchase code that you find in the mail sent to you after you ordered the plane + the code that you will see in the registration menu in MSFS. Later on you will get a new code by mail. THAT code must be entered into the empty field in the registration menu... At least that

Hi,what code in the menu??? When I click this extent Reg all what happens is that I get a confusing new situation. No number, no code, but often a crash to the desktop. I hope it has nothing to do that I use WinXP Pro Sp1a DX9a all in a german version as well with FS2k2 in german. If it has something to do with my german version of FS2k2 and WinXP, I gonna go for a refund. That is not something what should happen! I cannot find any generated code, nor does any automated e-mail gets created like CaptainSim does (no matter if I may have or have not configured a e-mail software), no nothing at first sight. When I look into my modules folder, I see a new folder named in a funny code of numbers. But what now? Did I miss any step anywhere written? And why do I get into a new but confusing and without an soft exit situation within FS2k2 when running this extent registration software? Sorry, but whatever funny software protection stuff you use on my system, it doesnt seem to work very well. So, I guess I gonna go for a refund. I expected that you would have taken all the time needed and even more to as well test this registration stuff at so freaking many systems and OS XP versions that such problems dont appear! Sorry guys, but I cannot hold myself back, I am ######. The first impression of the aircraft is superb and drolling, but all of it should work as you wrote at this forum and at your WebSite. Ah... nother thing is that NO failure manager or anything about the failure management comes up when I click at it in the FS2k2 PMDG menu entry. Ah, did I missunderstand that this will be included when I buy the next step of your developement the 800/900 aircrafts? Maybe I didnt read about that, but if so, I am not pleased as well!>I think you got it wrong. Sorry for sounding think, but, i'm thinking of getting a completely new system soon so that it'll be able to handle FS2004. If I was to purchase now, install and register I could use it with my current system. When I get my new system, I would be able to unregister, take the key code, then install on my new machine, get the code and e-mail those off to you, and then when I receive the new licence, I'd be able to use it on my new system. Is this correct? if so where's the cash register :-lol

Yes, I second that question: What is the amount of delay approximately from when you send your request to when you get the key.

I'm doing my best to follow your instructions, but need help:While running the 737NG aircraft, I access the FS menu barSelect PMDG / Registration DetailsTwo options:1. Extend Registration2. Produce transfer codeI'm guessing:Select Extend registrationUp comes Registration boxSelect Register buttonUp comes PMDG Product Lic. GeneratorThis box has a very long PC code in itand an empty box for a licence codeI take the long PC code and my Order confirmationnumber from your order confirmation emailand email the two to [email protected] Is that the correct process???And if yes... where is this documented??

>Very Good!>>This is documented RIGHT HERE on our support forum, right at>the top! (Marc did a good job at this!) ;-).I'm not trying to be argumentative, Lefteris, but the trouble is, the process doesn't work!:::: PMDGOptions : Bad Licence Key ::::Steve Mhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg2.53Ghz P4 | 512 MB SDRAM | Geforce 4 MX400 64MB | 80GB HDD | WinXP Pro | DX9

Well I am done. It took a while to download it and a couple of hours to get the reg key but its all working. All I need now is for someone to shut the GPWS GLIDESLOPE up when I'm on an ILS app. Regards

I'm not trying to be argumentative, Lefteris, but the trouble is, the process doesn't work!:::: PMDGOptions : Bad Licence Key ::::The exact same happens to me too... I have reinstalled twice after the initial install... same thing...In addition, I am not able to use the FMC or nav instruments...What can I do if it wont generate the needed code that I am supposed to email to you all?Regards,Ted Panamarioff - Kodiak, Alaska

Hmm I am about to download and purchase your product, but this sure sounds a lot worse than first anticipated!Seems like we were argueing for deaf ears in that earlier license post...This is really dissapointing, your copyright security over costumer care???Doesn't add up if you think it over...I am sceptic, but I have been waiting and loving the product even before trying it, so I just HAVE to buy it...Please think this method over guys!It is really not worth it in the long run, because you know that there will be cracks, and then some might think that it's easier to just download them, instead of the registration thing, and waiting for your reply and so on...Just can't stress it enough, but you didn't listen the last time, so I guess I am talking to no one right now, but there I've said, now where is my credit card :-)Boaz...

OK... it worked... and I'm happy.BTW.. You might have mentioned in your reply that thisdocumentation went up AFTER I posted my question.. :-)

I bought the plane, paid for it, the payment was accepted. Now I want PMDG to simply do what the law in my country (the country that in my person they did business with) orders them to do: supply me with the full and unrestricted enjoyment of my purchase. Right now they're not doing that. I read a lot of nonsense about the generating of codes, the emailing of codes, the printing out of codes, the registering of codes... but whatever I do or whatever code I enter, the message "bad code" keeps cropping up. And each and every time I start up the PMDG 737, the fughing instruction appears to REGISTER the bloody plane. So bloody LET me register it!It's very simple, you PMDG guys: either supply me with the full and unrestricted enjoyment of my purchase (f'rinstance by giving me, or letting me "generate", the flaming code), or be prepared to refund my money.I am not interested in nonsense like a "grace period" of ten days. Whatever I buy, I do not accept "grace" from the shopkeeper. After having paid I want said shopkeeper to do nothing less and nothing more than supply me with the full and unres... well, I guess you got the message. I fully understand and support PMDG's need to protect their copyrights and financial interests, but I expect them to take care of the connected intricacies themselves, and not load the krap on their paying customers' shoulders. With its 40 bucks the 737 is already expensive enough as it is, without all this kind of irritating nonsense for the clients to deal with.Jaap Verduijn.

I wonder how many people, after reading these threads, decide that it just isn't worth the hassle to buy the product. I understand the need to protect intellectual property - but there has to be an easier way. Colin
