System specific problem WinMe

Featured Replies

Hi all :-waveUsing WinMe and have loaded the GDI+ which has cured the .gau snagbut I'm getting a kernel32.dll when I shut down the sim after using the NG, Ng runs without any probs for hours using all the NG goodiesas I state this only occurs when shutting down.I have been thru MS sites looking at various examples of this, atotally mind blowing minefield.......and am still none the wiser :-(Anyone else with WinMe having this.....?thankyou for any thoughts, best,Steve

SteveI'm having the exact same problem you are - also running WinME, and always get the error in kernel32.dll whenever shutting down the sim after flying the NG. Like you I haven't had any problems whilst using the NG, its only after I shutdown FS that the error pops up.Also, I'm running a 'clean' installation of WinME straight from the CD - no OS patches applied. I wonder if anyone out there is running the NG on WinME without experiencing this problem? or is it a general problem that affects every WinME installation?Craig

And I've had the same thing happen a few times with WinXP Pro. Doesn't seem to be a system-specific issue.Doug

DougIts interesting that you've had the problem a few times with WinXP Pro, but with my WinME installation it happens every single time I shutdown FS.

Hi all :-waveWell nice to know its not down to my system setup......the factthat it occurs at shutdown and not ruining any flights is a reasonfor me to shrug it off and just enjoy the package.....now where to fly to next..!best,Steve

Gents-this issue has been identified - it's a Win98/ME issue (not an XP issue) and will be fixed for the update.

Fantastic!

hi,Thank you!!1 :-) I have this problem also on Windows ME. I am really looking forward to the patch now, this aircraft is great without the patch but gonna be excellent with the patch!!!Andrew

Not an XP issue - hmmmmmm.......something is going on....I'm also getting a frequent "program not responding" at shutdown. But if I'm the only one with XP seeing the problem it must be local here. More to look at on my end....Doug
