July 31, 200322 yr PMDG.......Please Understand Our Impatients....While FS9/2004 is a wonderful and most awesome new platform that will give us many hours of joy over the next two years you must understand we the USER are in a prediciment so while we are constantly checking the site for news of the the 737NG PATCH and its release frequently we certianly are not flying the NG, infact many of us arent flying any of our third party payware add-ons at all because of needed PATCHES. I guess if I could fly the PSS Airbus or the DF 737-400 I wouldnt be writting this post.I want you to take the time and get it right as do all of us NG USERS. I cannot understand Microsofts practices and why they dont issue to the Development groups the new version a month in advance so these issues can be resolved.Signed......waiting in Seattle.Randy Smith
July 31, 200322 yr Randy,This is PMDG's first MSFS product, probably a good reason why Microsoft didn't have them for beta testing, the next version may well be very different. Just because a company gets a version earlier it doesn't mean we'll see any of the patches any quicker :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
July 31, 200322 yr Randy,Patience is a _virtue_, not a vice. :-)Don't worry, you're not waiting alone. I'm sure that PMDG will have the patch out shortly!- Bill Ruppel - William Ruppel, CYTZ, VATSIM 816871
July 31, 200322 yr PMDGPlease dont be pressured by what Randy said. I dont belong to the users he claimed he represents. Take your time and make sure it satisfies your quality standard. A quality patch is what I am looking for.CheersMichael Tan AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Nvideo 970 GTX FSX + MegaScenery
July 31, 200322 yr Commercial Member John-Oh- we WERE involved in testing CoF! ;-) That's why we were so confident that the airplane was compatible!Unfortunately we finished developing the 737 *After* FS9 went gold- and it appears some changes on both sides created a few minor hiccups with CoF.... Nothing we shouldn't get worked out here!Y'all have no idea how hard it was to refrain from posting CoF screenies just for FUN... MS asked us not to... ;-) Robert S. July 31, 200322 yr Commercial Member Randy-No worries! We DO understand! In fact- I will admit that it has been extraordinarily hard to refrain from issueing the patch, as it currently stands just so that you all can begin taking to the FS9 skies in the NG!I have a high degree of confidence that we are doing the right thing by hanging on to it just a TINY bit longer....The fact is that was are being exceedingly cautious with this patch release because there was so much that happened with the initial release that was simply unexpected. Our testing process had stopped finding problems- yet obviously some things were overlooked...We don't want to do that again..... and we know you guys understand...My frequent updates here are just one small way to try and make the process abit easier for all of you! At least you know we KNOW you are waiting! You know? Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
July 31, 200322 yr I'll have to say that Robert and PMDG team have been extremely honest and polite to us users waiting for the patch. This is the kind of "care" that should be seen in every payware group, not just ordinary customer support. I have no trouble waiting. It takes what it takes, as simple as that.Tero:-sun1 PPL(A)
July 31, 200322 yr "In fact- I will admit that it has been extraordinarily hard to refrain from issueing the patch, as it currently stands just so that you all can begin taking to the FS9 skies in the NG!"??I actually find the aircraft doing much better in FS9 than FS2002 ... flying the NG in FS2004 is not a problem currently. The patch might do some good - but I do not consider it a problem as is. In fact I now fly it every day :DMartin
