Give me a *Break* Rob. Maybe I should post that "Other" sim's early posts about things just like this. If YOU are not interested then go elseware but please SPARE me your silly remarks.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Please tell me what is "silly" about my post. The "Other" sim did not go on vacation or charge extra for a working product.

Rob, I would expect more of a "professional" post by you. Read your post once again and tell me just what in it you can see that's not a put down to all of us? Maybe if you were asking questions insted of making quick comments we would not be having this discussion? The 800-900 is not even in develpoment yet. What PMDG decide to do in their personal lives is not for us to judge OR talk about on this forum. What a way to welcome yourself eh? [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. This thread was originally posted 9 days ago and bumped several times without acknowledgement from anyone. To use a "vacation" as an excuse to me is not professional...unless the whole team vacations together? I believe I was merely echoing the frustration felt by the paying customers to the non-responsive stance taken by PMDG which speaks to the level of service I could expect as a customer...which I am not so I will bow out of any further discussion or interest in this product as you suggest.

While not everyone vacations together, not everyone WORKS on the same AREAS of this aircraft. Second, we really don't need you to "Speak" for customers who HAVE purchased the product. As for customer service, ask 99.9% of customers around, it won't jive with your OPINE...[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. RobThanks for stopping in.Now you know how it is with the NG.Best RegardsTed

While PMDG's staff is entitled to any vacation time they have earned, this particular thread has been in existance since August 3rd. This issue itself has been discussed in threads since July 1, and I haven't found an answer (in the positive or negative) yet.Had we received a "we are looking into it" or a "we will look into it" or even a "We will look into it after VNAV", I think all of us who are curious would have been satisfied. While we appreciate the information that the team is vacationing, it doesn't go very far to answer the long standing question - Will failures be addressed? We look forward to the programmers speedy return.-Greg- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - July 5-7:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchJuly 4:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchJuly 1-2 (Had a response, but it was to email "support")http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search

99.9% customer satisfaction...you sure about that?Reading this forum tells me otherwise. As I said, I will refrain from any further posts until I am a paying customer. You can guess when that will be.Rob.

Rob,As has been said in the past, we have a really great attribute within our economic system. You can ultimately vote with your wallet.I am a satisfied PMDG customer even though the product is not perfect. Very little is ever perfect when it comes to software technology.Again, since you have not purchased the product, and you have not received the answer your are looking for, make your decision, cast your vote and move on. PMDG works the way they work. Make your choice. Please leave the forum to the rest of us who are enjoying this product.George

WOW! :( I thought this thread had disappeared into the bowels of the forum. When I did not get an initial response to this thread in the forum I emailed support. Robert Randazzo sent me a reply and said this issue is being examined.PMDG has been very good in responding to any emails I have sent them in a timely manner. However, it may have been helpful if someone in the support area, (whether failures fall in the area of expertise or not), would have responded to this thread and at least acknowledge this issue.I've noticed a few threads go unanswered lately. If some of the team are on vacation then perhaps the remaining team member(s) could at least acknowledge these threads. It would help keep everyone informed and prevent repeated bumpings. Randy and some of the other beta testers have been very good at helping users through difficulties. However, (no disrespect intended Randy), I think customers would rather have a response to these type of issues from the company they purchased the product from.I also feel that there are a lot of people like Rob who are waiting to see if these outstanding issues will be addressed in another patch before they buy. When threads like this one go for days without a response from PMDG it may not look favourable to a prospective customer.I do not look at the PMDG 737 as a replacement for the "Other" sim, but simply as another addon to my virtual fleet. I enjoy flying the 737 on short range (1-2 hour) flights and I still very much enjoy flying the "Other" sim as well. One does not have to replace or surpass the other.Anyway, just my 10 cents worth. :-)

Nice post Mike, The fact is that many times they are too busy or for other reasons leave some posts unanswered. Some of the beta team have information that can help in many aspects and we like out help out whenever possible. If I tell you something as regards to say VNAV it's because I am working with it and see the results ;). I did not respond to this post because frankly I have no interest in this at the moment, there are bigger fish to fry, I do know that it will be delt with after the stablity etc issues are all worked out, no cart before the horse as pop use to say... As to my mention of the "other", lets face it, we see a atitude repeated by some here, it's the "it should be like THIS" NOW, forget the fact that it is being worked on we wanted it yesterday.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Ok fellas... as described, a few guys are on vacation, so our forum response time has slowed a bit temporarily. We'll be looking into the failures module and give you a heads up when the appropriate people return.VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gif

Thanks Vin!

Points taken.I shall bow out of any further input to this forum with this observation. Why didn't all these things work to start with? PMDG should have waited another 2 months before releasing to have a better product. They may have made great stuff for Fly, but I have never owned Fly, so for MSFS it's not a good start. I do hope it gets better.I have been on a 3 day week for months, thanks to NAFTA. So $40 might be chump change to some but to me it's not.I shall now wait in silence and see what happens.Good day and good luck with your efforts.Sincerly,

In a perfect world, software would go out the door with few or no bugs. But, as we all know, that's pretty much not going to happen. We are all a little disappointed that the failures problem slipped through the cracks for whatever reason - be it due to lack of beta testing, OR the decision that it was the lesser of the discovered bugs. In that regard, I agree - it *IS* a non-essential part of the aircraft, and it doesn't effect the flying capabilities of it, unlike the VNAV issues. But I think the bigger problem is the lack of responses we were getting. Only now, more than a month after the first threads on this were posted, do we have even a SLIGHT acknowledgement of the problem (A "we'll look into it" from Vin). Only after multiple threads and multiple bumps did it seem to get any attention. I don't want the fix immediately, as there are other more pressing issues with the airplane. But for the issue to slip through the forums cracks 4 or 5 times? Intentional or not - it gives the impression that the customer was being disregarded - And if there's anything about PMDG we know, it's that they DON'T have a reputation for doing that. (Which is what makes it all the more disconcerting). With Vin's post, we at least know the problem will be passed along when the vacations end. Please do keep us informed on the status of the problem(s)... just as you did with SU1, status updates can go a long way to ease the troubled mind. Good luck,-Greg Germ
