September 21, 200322 yr hi all,Well i just spent all weekend tweaking and playing around with FS2004 and PMDG737 to get the VC smooth as possible, (well my target was at 20fps).I finally achieved this by, 1/ Turning the slider down in VC guage from high quality to low quality.andwhat really was EATING frame ratesI decreased the 3D clouds to all 2D only, yes i do not get any fluffy clouds, and my clouds look like FS2000 clouds but it was a massive frame rate boost. Now in major detailed airports like KLAX and KSFO with alot of AI i get 15-20fps and non detailed like YBBN i get 18-20 in VC.Something else i noticed is that AI traffic eats alot of frame rates as well. Now how to fix my stutter problem... September 21, 200322 yr Commercial Member ClaytonOne more suggestion or tweak especially to improve AI framerates. If you happen to be running the auto installed PAI Aircraft and flightplans. Sub out as many AI aircraft with FS Painter or AI Aardvark models as possible. It's a pain to do, but the improvement is noticeable. I gained at least 5 FPS at most airports with 100% AI. September 22, 200322 yr I don't feel one should have to turn down criticle options in FS to get one addon to perform correctly. I hope they fix this problem and make the VC fully interactive...Great planes though... September 22, 200322 yr Commercial Member Easiest Way to do it is perform a search in the Avsim File library for "AI Aardvark (airline name here)" or "FSP (Ailine name here)" and then place those models in your aircraft folder. Then go in to your "Aircraft" list in the TTools folder (after decompliling) and edit in the new models in place of the orinal PAI types. It takes a bit of doing but the results are excellent. Someone with more expertise than myself might be able to recomend a way to do this with AI Trafiic Mover but I coudn'tRegardsPaul Gollnick :-coolTechnical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.com Paul Gollnick Manager Customer/Technical Support Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
