I don't know what it was like in this forum while awaiting the first service update, but in regards to the 'posts' in this forum now, while we await the release of the "service update 2", it seems like this whole release thing is causing quite a rukus among people who regularly post here. Some of the messages I read while browsing through this forum seemed to be belittleing (did I spell that right?) and condescending towards other users and members of the PMDG staff. I don't get involved in posting in-between an argument between other users, infact I only post when I have a question or have something "neat" to share, but I just had to say something now. It's definetely getting a little crazy in here. No offense to anyone, but I also noticed something kind of funny, as far as users coming up with all these theories about PMDG's website going down and all that and also people suggesting ideas to PMDG staff members on how to handle their business. Once again, no disrespect to anyone these are just some observations that I've made throughout this whole SU2 ordeal. Thanks,Jeff Smith USAF

Hey Ted, if you don't care about his observations why are you bothering replying to this thread?Nick

I agree with Jeff. We all have a bit too much time on our hands and are over-excited.Ted why on earth would you post that????Josh

Hello,I could care less when they decide to release the SU2 update. If they don't want to give a date, fine. But the BS message on their website that states: "PMDG is about to unveil its new homepage and the highly anticipated Service Update 2 (SU2). Be sure to check back within the next week." Then have the GALL to tell their customers it our fault for reading into this message, that they never said SU2 is going to be released is GARBAGE.Mike

Now "within the next week" would mean anytime this week then, so they still have until sunday to release it.

Hello,I agree with you 100%. However, in a post from PMDG that was just deleted, I wonder why?. PMDG CLEARLY STATED, that its their customers fault for reading into the message on their website, that they never said SU2 is going to be released in the next week.Mike

Mike, I think the statement on the Web site was refering to the NEW WEB PAGE, but even so, I will stand by what you THINK it meant ;), hopefully nothing will hinder, but as you know things sometimes DO happen and one must cover their hiney................. Fingers crossed![h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg

The reason the message was deleted was because of your accusations. And now you're reading more into my statement than there really was. All I said was that it was not meant as a release date.

Ya'll have a tough job riding that fence. Making decisions on this must can't be at all easy. As for us customers, I know I am a bit overtired, haven't had my afternoon snack and need my nappie. i.e. its a tough crowdI have faith in ya PMDG.Josh

Hello,Maybe you should clarify that on your web page, this would avoid ANY confusion. There are MANY here who think SU2 will be out by Sunday the latest, based on the information on your web site. Not only myself, but the person who responded to me by saying they have until Sunday. I hope it is out by then, I really do. But the message on your site is misleading, if when you posted this message you never intended to release SU2 within the week, or if the message never meant to imply it was going to be released within the week..Mike

Notam posted on the web site on the 3rd of this month - it is now the 12th here. I just checked again - no new web site and no SU2. How long is a week on planet PMDG?One of the main problems here (as discussed before) is certain beta testers constantly making out like SU2 is about to be released. After a month or so this becomes a little annoying and people (quite rightly) lose patience with the whole thing. Are we up to beta release 100 yet? I'll expect the threatening e-mail and this post deleted for telling it like it is.Rich.
