April 7, 200422 yr Author >What kind of frame rates are you getting in the new VC since>there are less polygons, is it a big improvement, and what>kind of system were those sceenshots taken on?? thanks for the>replyHi Sebastian,I get frame rates at around 12 to 18 in very built up areas like downtown Chicago and for the rest it is usually between 22 and 35, depending on the weather and overall airspace activity.I have a 3 GHz Pentium 4 on an Intel D875PBZ motherboard, 1 GB of RAM, 2 x 120 GB SATA Hard Disks in Raid 0 configuration and an ATI 9800 Pro graphics board. Jealous? :-PJerome

April 7, 200422 yr j: Great shots! Just a couple of quick questions:1) It looks like your engine start valves are in the cutoff position, but the bird is obviously running. Am I missing something (normal situation!).2) Although you landed at flaps40, it looks like they're still deployed a bit while you're parking. Did you enjoy your armed escort? Thanks again for the shots.Sam

April 7, 200422 yr Hey all,First off, nice pics :) Do I understand correctly that the rain effect on the VC windscreen won't be added to the 6/700 models in the upgrade?I now see where all those 12000 polygons have been removed from in the VC... all the modelled switches on the overhead are gone :( It looks like it is now the same bitmap as the 2D cockpit overhead which makes the switches and dials look out of perspective (pic one above shows this well). Will this be changed back? I, personally, liked all those switches sticking out the overhead :)While I'm here and already b!tching, what's the dark part on the overhead where the panel light switch is (pic 2 above, look dead center in the overhead).I think that's about all I've got to moan about :)CheersDavid
