A little trivia --

Ah the first product was a manual, hehe where is my prize? I seem to recall a certain boeing http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/review/pmdg.htm that I just had to purchase and was blown away with. In fact it was this aircraft that started me on the road to flight sim obsessiveness ;DBest Wishes,[h4]Randy J. Randy, Sorry.. No prize. Only half right on the first question.. 2 remain. There's a brand new, super deluxe, french fryer in the pot for those who can answer.OK ... its not brand new, nor super deluxe... If you empty the oil and clean it out...... YOU CAN HAVE IT!Name the game show that gave this particular prize away. For a bonus. And NO I have no affilliation with PMDG.Therefore no employee, nor any relative, pet related to, or any other entity is eligible for this contest... Hi Roman,Does anyone remember the very first product that PMDG released ??Yes, it was a manual, I believe. Created for AEROWINX Precision Simulator 747. I have it sitting on my shelf, but can

Bryan, WOWSA, this whole thing may be fixed!! I remember a certain file type to go with a certain simulator.. And to my own dismay, may be wrong.. But I'm still holding true to what I believe.. Iv'e never owned the AEPS 747, but heard it was the d'facto simulator for the particular time.. I have something on a hard drive, the system says the hard drive is bad. It's got ALL the vintage stuff on it, and I can still get to it. Thus, the trivia is based on those 1s and 0eros loaded on that drive. The ? still stands unless the main man can interject. I got both of them :)Boeing 747-400 manual.first made for PS1, but after that they released the manual for fs98. I also came with a fs98 AIRFILE. This airfile was fine tuned to give the aircraft same performance as referenced in the manual.Impact on the upcoming 747? YES, PMDG aleady know the 747 inside out, and know from former products what a B747 addon should look, feel and fly like. Given the advances in technology since PMDG's first B747 addon, we will most certainly see a product that will raise the FS-addon benchmark skyhigh :)later they released another Boeing manual with airfile (B757).all of this was way before FLY! and PMDG's FLY! addons.Did I win the prize?Jan Roar Roed

DING DING DING DING (insert .wav/.midi file here)I think we've got a winner here.. :-) For the prize... I guess I'll have to clean the 'ol fish fryer. Then.. find a route ( non-etops ) to get it over to your place. It was all in good fun, but Jan, IF YOU REALLY WANT THE DEEP FRYER... ITS YOURS !!! :-) That was the bomb! back then FS98 with the PMDG airfile/manual coupled with Tony D's ( I will not even try to, well ) panel, well it put everything to shame... Oh the memories.. A PII 450 was the thing to have.. It's al better now, N'uff of the memories, we're all on final, GO? or G'AROUND ? Make the call. hehe - let Bryan K take the fryer :)the PMDG manuals/airfiles for fs 98 was superb addons. Since those glory days, PMDG switched to be a producer of FLY! addons, then switched back to MSFS addons. but many users seems to have forgotten that PMDG was originally a MSFS addon producer. I did not like the FLY!-sim at all, I bought FLY!, installed it, tried it, but I just did not like it at all. Did not like the panel scrolling, the envirionment outside the aircraft (to darkish scenery etc.)I then got FLY2 because I would like to try the next version hoping that those issues I had with FLY! have been improved etc. But I did not like FLY2 either so I kept MSFS as my primary flightsim. When i noticed that PMDG switched back to MSFS I was very, very happy. Based on my previous experince with PMDG MSFS-addons I knew that we would see some fantastic addons. I just can't wait until I get my hands on the PMDG 747-400 for FS2004.Greetings from NorwayJan Roar Roed

Jan,EXACTLY, Never did own any of the FLY! series but that .air file always sat in my back pocket for future use.. If I member correctly it made it until FS2002. FS2000 was a toilet. The air file fixed that to a point where it could.Well I guess this thread is over... All in good laughs. Mr. Jan Roar Roed... You win a brand new french fryer. Hi,As a long time Aerowinx PS1.3 user, -and with PMPG's past manual for this product in mind-, it sure has set my expectations high.Originally I bought the 767 for FLY! and I was totally impressed because of the level of system simulation offered. I wanted more than this product could offer under the limitations of FLY! so I discovered PS1.3 back in 2000. -So I HOPE that PMDG can get on par with PS1.3's depth of system simulation and accuracy. If so we will have the best of both worlds: Supreme eyecandy combined with a second to none systemssimulation !Best regards K. Atana
