So far I've loved the 737 series. The only airplane I could imagine loving more is the 757.Thanks for your awesome products.Jeff Cavaioli

I hate to say this in this forum but if you go to a forum a few down called "The 767 Pilot in Command Support Forum" you there will find a 767 which is the 757 with a few minor adjustments....they are also coming out with a V2 of the 767 which should be do anytime now...hope that helpsChad Moore

Nothing compares with PMDG products. I really haven't been happy with anything else ever since I bought their line.Jeff

Same here. I have thought about getting the CS 707, but after reading about the problems with it I know I'll be disappointed. PMDG spoils you for anything else. :)

well the panel developers for LVDS 767 are the guys who did 767PIC....so if there's anyone who can equal or surpass the PMDG team its these guys...even now, running on FS8, PIC is neck and neck with the NG, and i LOVE my NG ;-)

Trust me when I say the LVLD 767 will be nice. I've watched the two videos and can tell they're working to make it worth every penny. I know it's not a 757, but the old one was modified a little to fly with a 757 freeware body. Maybe this will happen down the road.

Many airliners workhorse is not well represented in FS since years. OK there is a very nice freeware version out but thats it for the 757.You will find a hell lot of B777 B747 A340 A330 MD11 and so on models. Sure, I like these birds too but most of them are already in several production lines. I wish somebody would build a brilliant B757 and who would do better than the guys here at PMDG!hopefully somedayxaver

Well I would not say that. I would say each is special in it's own right. PIC 767 set a standard in flight simulator. PMDG have also set newer standards. I will say that PMDG seem to offer a more varied overall package in terms of different variations within a single package like the 600-700-800-900 winglets etc. Not to mention all the different cockpit-displays availible. As far as I know PIC V2 will be one type of the 767. Now as they want to offer ONE sim and one varient of the 767 I do not believe this is a negative thing, it's just what appeals to the majority of flight simmers. I would have been happy with the 700 NG alone so more aircraft is a added treat ;-). I am thankful that we have LEVEL D and PMDG developing great aircraft. They are both serious developers with hardcore fans. Could you imagine a co-developed aircraft? Anyways both have earned our respect... Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. Hey, you never know Jeff, the 757 might be LDS' next aircraft. ;-)Paul

  • 2 weeks later...

Chad,A coupla things: First, a 767 is NOT "a 757 with a few minor adjustments", it's a whole 'nother aircraft...a heavy. It has common systems and a common cockpit layout, but definitely more than minor differences. The 767PIC for FS2k2 did work when merged with a 757 flight model, but there were significant issues thad had to be overlooked, mostly with the FMC. Anything having to do with weight (and all the calculations derived from weight) had to be either ignored or, if you're as crazy as I am, kluged so that it would be approximately correct.Second, the last time I was in the 767PIC forum, they were extremely unfriendly to anyone who dared to post about using the 767PIC panel in a 757.I can understand why PMDG might not want to do a 757 for MSFS (they've done two already, for Fly! and Fly!II, and it might be a little boring for them).Still, it's a great idea. We need a good 75!Kurt

PIC 767 set a standard in flight simulator. PMDG have also set newer standards. I will say that PMDG seem to offer a more varied overall package in terms of different variations within a single package...It couldn't have been said any better...It is not sensible to be saying I want PMDG to make a certain type of aircraft because they make it better. There is still a product out there that is as good or some may say better than any PMDG product out yet for MSFS. This product was also developed for a much older version of FS.Many airliners workhorse is not well represented in FS since years. OK there is a very nice freeware version out but thats it for the 757.You will find a hell lot of B777 B747 A340 A330 MD11 and so on models.....Show me the helluva lot of quality B777, B747, A340, A330, MD-11 models..?All of these aircraft types and their variants have only one "really good" model in their name, just as the 757 does. ;)

Phoenix did a CD boxed 757-200 for FS2000. I remember they did one in BA colours and another in AA colours. The panel was amazing, and it came with a basic FMC which was pretty cutting edge for FS2000! It never achieved the fame of PIC767 or DF737 which was a shame as it was a really nicely done add on. Pity they never patched it for FS2k properly or FS9, as I'm sure it'd be a classic.I recall at low weights you could just set the flaps and it would rotate all by itself at VR...what beast of a jet!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/95598.jpg
