Autobrakes not braking

Featured Replies

Hi all.I have been flying the PMDG 737NG since it was first released and love the product.I have been having problems with the autoland function. I have an approach set up, on approach speed, Vref set and stable approach.Almost every time (about 99 times out of 100) as soon as I touch down the Autobrakes disconnect and I have to jump on the brakes to bring it to a halt and can't use reverse thrust.I don't know what I'm doing wrong so any thoughts would be appreciated. My system is a P-IV 3.4, 1GB DDR2 RAM, PCI Express Video card with two 17" LCD monitors, with CH Pro Pedals, Yoke and Throttle. Mark,Just to add to John's post. You might also want to add a small dead zone to the throttle axis to prevent it from spiking at idle. Hope it helps,

Hi Mark,I know this was my initial problem when I first received my CH throttle with the autobrakes. I have since recalibrated, with, as Mats has suggested, a "dead" zone, and all is as it should be.

Hi Mark,Just to add another suggestion. Just before the 737 touches down, usually about 30 feet when you initiate the flare, make sure the throttles go to idle. You mentioned you were using the autoland function. As I recall, the autoland system only works at airports that have a category III landing system. KLAX has a category III. Ken.
