  1. Great news, thanks for sharing Robert. Excellent cooperation between two fantastic developers and shows what can happen when developers cooperate to improve and enhance their products for the users. And of course well done to Damian, Kostas and Alex for making it happen!
  2. Ittai, I've replied at the BAV Forums, but will copy and paste it here in case it helps others: What I can't see from your Avsim screenshots is what your flaps were set to in that shot?? Having a closer look, your VSpeeds are not correct according to the landing speed charts, so I think you could be reading the charts all wrong. You have a VREF from the charts of 132, the VAPP should be VREF+5 knots+headwind/gusting component and the VAC should be 161. (VAC for Flap 5 landing is sourced from VAC Flap 2 and for Flap FULL landing from VAC Flap 4) On your screenie, VAPP appears to be set to 132 and your VREF is around 127, thus in the stall protection zone. Your VAC is set for 143 which is the setting for a Flap FULL landing (really only used for short field operations or steep approaches like LCY). Hope this helps. Mark
  3. Steve The actual Kokoda Badge is more bronze than on the aircraft. http://www.kokodatreks.com/ contains details of the badge. I still have my friends trying to get more pics! Mark
  4. Steve, I'll see what I can get for you. I have a number of friends who work airside at some airports she flies into so will see what they can produce. She sure is a beauty IMHO. Thanks for giving it a go! Mark
  5. Steve If you would like a real challenge, Air Niugini have just started flying a 73G - P2-PXD. She went into service this month and flying mainly between Port Moresby and Australia and Cebu. I have to say that it is one of the nicest special liveries I have seen in a long time and sure would love to fly the NGX in this livery. Also, can't wait for your ZK-PBF, Virgin Samoa livery. Mark
  6. Getting praise from a talented painter like John is praise indeed! Well done Marcelo, looks great! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD. Please excuse any Apple autocorrection.
  7. If you're using Active Sky to generate your weather and not FSInn don't click on the cloud. Let Active Sky give you excellent weather instead.Make sure you select the VATSIM option in Active Sky so that you have the same weather as the other VATSIM users, including ATC, for your departure and arrival airports.
  8. Hi JimThanks for that. I turned on the wind shift settings in FSUIPC without making any adjustments to what was offered and doing a flight now in the E190 with 100 knots on the nose and 106 from the right and smooth as silk.Appreciate your help as alwaysMark
  9. HI JimHope you're well. I've finally got a computer that is able to run FSX and ASX and XGraphics well.I logged into these support forums to report the same thing.I've been flying addon aircraft (FeelThere Embraer 190 and Level D B763 (FSX versions of both)) and been getting similar wind shifts. All the times it's in Level flight with winds aloft. I've been cruising at F380 (E190) and F370 (B763) and one minute I will have 100+ knots on the nose as I would expect on the routes I have been flying at the this time of the year, then suddenly it would swing around and give me 100+ knots on the tail, almost a 180
  10. HI JimThanks for that, gosh I am behind the 8 ball aren't I!Appreciate your prompt response.Take careMark
  11. I am still using FS9 and ASv6.5 and still really happy with both.I have build 533 of ASv6.5 and was wondering what the latest build is?Mark
  12. I'm having a problem that some my installed PMDG B737s are not displaying in FlightSim.I have checked and rechecked the aircraft.cfg file and I'll be damned if I can see why not. Some have been installs from the PMDG website using their installer and others have been from Avsim or other sources that I have had to copy and paste the [fltsim.x] information into the aircraft.cfg files.I do have a lot of them installed.I can post my aircraft.cfg file and screenshots of my directory structure if need be.Any or all help appreciated.Mark
  13. >Mark,>>You didnt need to look too far. Here it is, already from the>land down under and in Excel :)>>http://www.ga.gov.au/geodesy/datums/redfearn.xls>Thanks Norm, but that gets it from Lat Long to Easting and Northing and of course the SIDS/STARS need decimal degrees.Alas, thanks to some advice from the VATPAC forums, I have now found: http://www.directionsmag.com/latlong.php which is helping greatly.Mark
  14. HI allI'm currently working quietly away in the background on a PSS SID/STAR project that will require me to convert Lat Long to decimal.By this I mean, looking at an Australian Airservices chart, it has the Lat/Long in degrees, minutes and seconds. I need it in degrees and decimals (six decimcal places).Does anyone know the formula to convert? Maybe then I can write myself an excel formula to do the hard work for me.Mark
  15. I have a question for everyone with the PSS Concorde.I have three 19' LCD monitors connected to my FS PC via two PCI-E cards. I know, I'm greedy!I can undock the Flight Engineers Panel and put it on one of the other monitors but wonder if anyone has found a way to get the enlarged fuel panels onto a second monitor so that I can monitor fuel better while still being able to fly the plane, and therefore can leave the VFE down the back chatting up the hosties until I need him/her? I find the gauges on the FE panel just too hard to read to be accurate.Any suggestion appreciated.MarkMark P.
