May 10, 200620 yr How do I permanently remove or permanently make the yoke short in VC?Isually fly the 747 in VC and every time...I have to move the mouse and make the Yoke short. I never find any reason to keep it up and watch it jerk back and forth. (Not sure..if there are others out there who like to watch the visual yoke jert back and forth in VC).Is there a way.. I can permanetly remove it or make it short? It irritates the #### out me.Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
May 11, 200620 yr Commercial Member Manny-I'd appreciate if you not use referential language for profanity here. We set the yoke up so that you can simply click on it to make it shorter. We did this because it is hard to represent the eye's ability to move between gauges and window without moving your head while flying. As such- there is a tendency to have the seat position (ie: your eyeball location) a bit further back than you would have it in the airplane in order to facilitate. When you put the view into a position that is comfortable for the VC- it's not realistic to the airplane- and causes the yoke top to be in your way.I am an active camera user- and have found an eyeball location that works very well- but i still click the yoke out of the way. Once that is done- i do not see it in my field of view.... So I think it's a matter of experimentation.(There is no way to remove it outright, however!) Robert S. May 11, 200620 yr Robert, could you share the eyeball location you refer to?(Please dont say "just either side of my nose" either!) :-) Mark Adeane - NZWN

June 29, 200619 yr Hi,is it possible to prevent the visual yoke from reacting as nervous as it does right now? Tiny joystick movements make the yoke act like a wild bronco ;-)In a future version of my favorite aircraft I would appreciate a less jerky yoke. Less, but smoother movement would be great!!
