June 8, 200619 yr Hi,I apologise if I didn't explain myself well enough; Let me try again:>"It would be much easier (and friendly) do find a ".rtf" or>".odw" filter."Because thei're open formats. Thei're well documented, everyone is free to use them, software developers are free to write software that handle them without weird licenses and nobody has to pay a lot of money for exclusive software applications to be able to handle them (MS office comes to mind). Wikis have everything to do with colaboration, different people and freedom of information, so it's only tipical for developers to refrain to writ software that handle such closed formats (it's actually illegal in most cases, due to the license). mediawiki developers are not different (see the first link I posted). But hey, if such a filter exists and makes people collaborate more and share documentation... by all means, go for it!>Do the 10 second Google for what? That was my way of showing that at that moment I paused posting and went to look a bit for a more informed answer, because I wasn't sure about the availability of a .doc -> mediawiki filter. And just after that, I shared 3 links that I found that reply to the poster.> . . . . Simple minds want to know Don't take things so personally. There was no irony or criticism on my post. And don't be offended if people find replies with just 1-2 minutes of looking around on a good search engine (like google). Actually a simple "google for the answer" would be almost as good - it isn't a bad idea do give a man the fishing rod instead of the fish. But let's not be taken into the common off-topic discussions so tipical on discussion forums. Our objective here is all about aviation and the PMDG models and sharing information, so let's see those documents come to the PMDG wiki!Cheers,Pedro Venda.

July 28, 200619 yr Kinda funny how you make it sound like it was YOU who coded and developed the program you're using there.... "another innovative tool", "our very own" etc, when you're actually using a free-ware program called MediaWiki. Oh well.
July 28, 200619 yr Kind of funny how you can't read well enough to follow the rules of the forum, yet you can read well enough to criticize something no other developer has done. ;)
