AIRAC cycle 0808

Featured Replies

Help - I am confused with AIRAC and Navgraph SID STARS.I have 737NG with AIRAC cycle 04/11. I have updated many of the the SID STARS from the NavData site for many of the UK and European Airports I fly to by downloading individual airport folders - but not the entire database.Recently I could not access SIDSTARS from KATL. I understand this is because my AIRAC cycle is out of sync.Do I just download the entire AIRAC cycle 08/08 into the SIDSTARS folder and overwrite the existing files? Will this update the AIRAC cyle on the ident page of the FMC?Will this sync with many of the major USA airports? Many thanksRoy Higgins

Roy,Yes, if you buy the latest Navigraph cycle it will update everything - the navdata itself and the terminal procedures.

The problem you have with KATL is probably because they have added a runway since 2004 (10/28).Check out the article on SIDSTARS (and a little NAVDATA) here: http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/SIDSTARSAlso, you might like the SIDSTAR collection I keep up to date with 68 US airports in the AVSIM library. Look for "cycle_0808_sidstars.zip" These are cusomized to provide routing between the STARs and the approaches for use in lieu of ATC vectors, and provide the "as charted" versions as well for use with ATC.As pointed out before, keep your SIDSTARS and NAVDATA syncronized (both same cycle) otherwise runway changes, which happen, will be a problem.
