sounds more like personal preferences rather than actual "bugs"

Kav,Those anomalies (attachments 2 and 3) are not seen on my computer so I assume it is not a general issue. Hope it helps,

Thats realy not a helpfull comment is it , every one of the points i made (bar the pilots) is a real issue. These are not just personal preferences they are fact and incorrect compared to the real aircraft. I dont know why people make statements like this with out actually thinking about it. If you took the time to look you will see that its all there and nothing to do with my personal taste.Kav

appologies for the typo I mean "Mats"KAV

"Internally in the VC there is another glaring mistake too which is the shape of the side windows . These windows upper and lower edges in reality are not parallel and widen dramaticaly from front to rear"what do you mean by parallel, Kav? Parallel with each other? Here is a pic of the #3 R/H window.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176100.jpgIf the upper and lower edges are not parallel with each other, you must be talking fractions of an inch difference. I put a ruler on the pic and I couldn't measure any difference.Distortion/perspective all conspire to confuse the viewer.Cheers.Q>

helloyes you are correct in the pmdg VC the upper and lower lines of both windows either side are parallel, but my point is that they should not be ,I think you misunderstand what i mean, if you look from outside spot view they move appart quite dramatically. the lower edges actually drop down and away from front to back and not just fractions of an inch . This has nothing to do with distortion/perspective or confusion its just a mistake.hopefully these imeges can help to show what i meanthanksKav

And just to clarify, the PMDG outside spot view shape is correct, i was just using it as a comparison to the Internal VC windows shape which is incorrect, but should match the outside.Kav

By the way Q do you have this problem with the flightdeck windows from spot view as ive mention abovepls see attached imagesthanksKav

Not really the angle I wanted, but...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176111.jpgAgain, if you put a ruler along the silhouetted window (top to bottom), the dimensions are the same... There is some kind of slant there (which I can't explain), but I don't see any widening.Perhaps instead of telling us how it should be, why don't you take a picture in the 744 cockpit (that you fly in)? (preferably from about the captain's headrest looking towards the F/O's windows). This will be my last post on this topic. I have absolutely NO issues with the way the PMDG cockpit looks.Cheers.Q>

Unfortunately you pic does not show the problem because of the angleTh camera upper fram needs to be alligned with the upper edges of the window and you will see how on the real aircraft the windows widen from front to rear in a kind of wedged shapeKav

Hello "For one, the opposite side window doesn't show on the near side. Also, the side windows do look correct in their shape and the sides aren't parallel at all." The oppersit window showing on the near side issue refers to spot view, and the window shape issue refers to the internal VC viewI dont know what you are seeing but this is what i mean please see images Kavhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176117.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176118.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176119.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176120.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176121.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/176122.jpg

It's fine, as even though I don't have PMDG products, that looks fine because the top edge of the window has textures and you are seeing those textures on the inside for the front, and in the background you see the outside, giving a strange illusion, it's just the view is no perfectly spot on.

You have mail (including a rough diagram of the R3 window)....I suggest you take a right angle and a tape measure to the real cockpit and see if you can fault my measurements. My rough (real world) measurements put the window pane upper/lower edges out of parallel by about 3/4"Q>P.S. If you feel you are receiving a hostile reception, just have a look at some of the postings on the forum this week.. Seems that not all are the experts they profess to be.
