EICAS Quiz: >IRS MOTION

Recommended Posts

I thought I would start a quiz of EICAS messages. To start, here is a simple message. Try to define the condition in which you will see this message, and what action the crew should take. Our answers should help educate and become a useful reference for others.Have fun, Richard

FLT CONT VLVSOne or more flight control valves remains closed when commanded open.No hydraulic fluid is getting to the flight controls. Due to redundant hyd supplies - no immediate action required. Awareness only. Possible further degridation and problems will develope if another hyd system is lost. (total 8 valves, and 8 switches).Guess I learn something new everyday :) I dont think this is simulated? >ELEC SSB OPEN - I have no idea what that means ??

Lads,I had hoped that we could restrict each thread to a single message so that over time each would grow within its EICAS message. Through unrestricted enthusiasm, we now have several messages in the same thread (what else should I have expected? LOL!).Nice tries. I have learnt that it is probably not such a good idea.Cheers, R
