July 8, 200817 yr Author I hope there will be an update panel state file available for download. Regards Yufeng Faster than the sun, higher than the heaven. Concorde, thanks for your supersonic years...
July 8, 200817 yr I too would like to download a good working panel state from PMDG.I deleted all panel and saved flights and it did solve the VNAV problem.I mentioned this earlier and I am curious to see if anyone or everyone with this problem also notice that the the Gasper and Recirculation switches are always saved in the off position when saving a panel state, even when you try to save them in the on position (FSX).Jeff
July 15, 200817 yr Still testing JeffAs you would imagine there are thousands of combinations to all these settings and I am working through them to get a better picture of what is happening.Preliminary results show there are defiantly preset states for some of the controls that can't be overridden with a save state. As to the importance of such a feature to be available for every switch I am not sure and would certainly not think it would be a priority. In saying that it is still a good exercise to find out what is happening anyway.RegardsSteve
November 1, 200817 yr Hi,This thread seemed to die without a definitive solution to the problem (from what I could see anyway).I've just purchased the PMDG 747 and have been running through the type rating courses. At TRC 4 part 2 I'm following the decription of what should happen re the VNAV phases but I'm experienceing the VNAV disengaging described by many on this thread. I've been reviewing and redoing the course scenario and couldn't figure why my PFD displays weren't following the description. Finally decided to check the support forum and found this thread. So was the problem ever identified? There was discussion of possibly the state files having an error? I've been banging my head trying to figure this out and now to find the same problem reported 4 months ago to be still in existence is a little frustrating.Regards,Dave GreenNZ
August 2, 200916 yr It's august 2009, and still there is no sollution for this.Am I correct that the only solve is still to delete all 'old' saved flights and panelstates.Does this mean that it will work with 'new' saved flights? I mean. If I'm starting with new ones, the VNAV problem wiil not occur anymore?Too bad, b.t.w. I really would do the trc 4 lesson. Anyone an idea how to complete those lessons?GoofEHVK g
