MD-11 routes?

Recommended Posts

Just wondered, what are typical routes for the MD-11? I know KLM uses one on their Schiphol - Dutch Antilles route (don't even know exactly which of the islands actually - could be Aruba or Curacao :shame: ). Is it also used in short(er) flights? Thanks!(oh, and I don't have it yet - have to wait till the end of the month, I'm afraid)

I know for a fact that UPS flies from Honolulu (PHNL) to Sydney (YSSY) in an MD-11F. I'm not sure of the frequency of this service, though. You can see one at Sydney most days.

Try flightaware.com to find all MD11 flights that originate/terminate in the US. Navigate via Live Tracking to View All by Type then enter MD11 for Select Type.. this will bring up all MD11/MD11F flights. There are 39 in the air in this category right now.

..and probably the shortest is an Oakland - San Fran flight which fills up the rest of the plane with cargo and heads to Anchorage I believe.
