November 14, 200817 yr First I want to always be sure that the folks at PMDG know that I absolutely love the new MD11 (and the 747-400 for that matter). That being perfectly clear, I noticed in ITVV's movie (Martinair) that there is an oral warning (Betty) that tells when the stabilizer moves more than a certain amount. My MD11 doesn't have that warning. Do you think that might be added in a future service pack or is that something that is airline specific?Thank you,Bobhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)
November 14, 200817 yr hi, as far as i know you should be able to hear it. there have been some threads about this question before that may prove helpful in terms of getting the conditions right for the warninghttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...60172&mode=fullhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...57272&mode=fullcheers,-andy crosbyedit- fixed links
November 14, 200817 yr She is definitely there. Once and a while, under certain loads, I hear "Stabilizer Motion" on takeoff. But if you'd like to hear it for yourself, it can be triggered by adjusting the trim upwards 2 degrees continuously (while airborne of course).Sam Sam Anderson Every cigarette takes 17 minutes off your life, every slice of bacon takes 9 minutes off your life. November 14, 200817 yr Author That's very cool to know. I will try to make her sound off when I take it up next time. The MD11 must fly differently from the MD80 because when I fly the MD80 I hear that "Stabilizer Motion" warning a lot more. Maybe that is because of the high tail wing on the MD80.Bobhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)
November 14, 200817 yr "...when I fly the MD80 I hear that "Stabilizer Motion" warning a lot more.."Or it could be the MD-11 is more accurately modeling the warning. :-) George Morris
