October 7, 200223 yr I can't find links to VFR panel in the forum, is it possible to have links to those fantastic landing views ? Or can someone email me the one which is in this thread ?It's been a while since I was looking for a good one, I think I found it ! :)My email : [email protected] in advance.Best regards,Guillaume

October 8, 200223 yr Hi,If it's possible may i have a landing view [email protected] AVQ05www.aerovirtuel.com
October 8, 200223 yr I'm going to have to come up with some sort of compromise for you all. This is a good, functional panel, but it is not representative of the real view during approach. The pilots raise their seats up quite high... in fact, so high, that the glareshield obscures the upper portion of the ADI! Please look at my new work, so you can understand what I mean:http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID33I hope I don't confuse you all...Sincerely,Phil Geddes

October 8, 200223 yr That's correct... I think this is a really important point. If real world pilots raise their seats and move them forward for landing, than the best sim pilots can do is have a view to use that imitates this. The problem with this, is that we sim pilots want to have all those instruments handy on approach. The real world pilot's view in the 57/67 doesn't allow him to see anything else but the g/s on te ADI. I would suggest that a sim-pilot might want to access "pop-up" instruments to simulate looking down at his panel on approach. Once finished referening the instrument, he can hide it... or "look up" so to speak.I know the procedure at many airlines is for the pnf to make speed/altitude calls on approach. Might this be so the p/f does not have to look down? Maybe a real-world pilot can comment on this? This debate will probably go on for the rest of time.Sincerely,Phil Geddes
October 8, 200223 yr Hi Phil,Point taken about the quick look at instruments. As to the speed/altitude calls maybe FDC can provide those for those who have FDC, or in my case those who have it and have yet to configure it :-lol
October 10, 200223 yr Hi Phil can I please have your Landing wiew, it looks [email protected] very much.
