I've finally come to my senses... any first impressions about this view? This way, you can keep the center line "between your legs", so to speak... More to come!Sincerely,Phil Geddes

Just a couple of comments..great panel shot BUT1. IAS 143 GS 260 - some tailwind - 117 knots up the APU..an interesting approach :-eek2. The centre line wont really be "between your legs". The captain should always land left of centreline and the FO right of centreline ;-)Seriously though, great shot. Where did the VFR panel come from??Rob

lol... ooops. I did not notice the groundspeed error; thanks for pointing that out to me! I confess, I did set this particular shot up using slew mode, hence the strange video. I had heard somewhere else in that forum that you should have the centerline in between your legs. However, I did find that with the position of your eye-point, the centerline does end up on your right leg anyway. I'll post more pics of this soon! Thanks for your comments!Phil Geddes

great, actually excellent - a pilots view! (one of my many rants)Will users be able to get a copy of this? I know there were some issues with distribution on this type of thing before.

Yes, it is a completely different experience using the landing view.I am using the view provided by Lee H. and this is an example what it can do to your approach. In this murky weather I can actually complete the approach - if you tried it with the normal view you would have to miss it since the panel obscures approach lights and you would not see the lights in time - very unrealistic !Michael J.

Preston,I wouldn't mind sending the files to you but it is slightly over 1 MB and my email has about 1 MB transmission limit. I looked if I could perhaps send the individual files but there is still a single file there over 1 MB in size. Not sure how to do it. Maybe you could ask Lee to reenable the link so you could download from his server. I will look into it again .. whether my ISP would allow me to ftp the files. Then I could share the link with you ....Michael J.

Mike, Preston,I could not post the link here - it is really someone else's work. I also was unsuccessful in creating my own link through my own ISP. But there is a good news - check your emails.Michael J.

Thanks Michal!!!By the way, if you want to continue to keep an eye on the status of San Juan 2002, go to the OMP Forum at www.aavirtual.com !!!I should resume work on San Juan 2002 very soon but there are 2 things that have set me back on the project! One is that with the news from Microsoft that they will not support BGL files on FS2004, I will have to learn how to create scenery with GMAX and this will definitely take some time!Second, I will start to learn to work with Photoshop 7, so I bought a book on the subject today and will begin digging into Photoshop 7! I was using Paint Shop Pro 7 but I feel that much more can be done with Photoshop 7...I really think it's best for me to redo the entire airport in GMAX because this airport is too detailed to have it deemed useless once FS2004 is released... Plus,if I can get to learn GMAX and dominate it, expect even better framerates and goodies such as reflective textures on buildings and such!!!!Remember, stay tuned at www.aavirtual.com for any development on San Juan 2002!Oh, and now it will be FREEWARE! ;-)
