Hi, i

What is your frame of reference for the statement about the speedbrakes? Are you a real world 767 pilot? If not, how do you know they are unrealistically ineffective? I'm just curious as a real world 767 pilot signed off on the flight dynamics. As for the landing view, follow the threads on the forum and someone will post a link or something.

Ken, Ref: the question about speedbrakes - I think he was asking if the real ones are more effective, not telling us.Alec,From what I've read and seen, the speedbrake effectivness is accurate.

>First- The Speedbrake on the real 767 is more effective then >the 767PIC? Apparently the speed brake simulation in the PIC is just about right. There is tendency among simmers to think that real speed brake can do so much for you - in fact it really can't.>Second- Where can I get the land view for 767PIC? Give me your email.Michael J.

My mail is [email protected] talk with A320, F100 and 737-500 pilots and on this aircrafts the speedbrakes is more effective, but on 767 i don

apparently, the 767 is underpowered and hard to stop. Speedbrakes don't work well so you have to plan your decends carefully.

>apparently, the 767 is underpowered and hard to stop. We know about hard to slow down, but "underpowered" - I never heard this one before. ;-)Michael J.

I think I've heard general talk that 767 is underpowered and 777 over powered. Don't remember where. I think one of the source is posky's flight manual for the 767.

767 underpowered?!?!WHAT THE!hehe.I can assure you the 767 was the most over-powered aircraft out there until the 777 came along. (And those 717's with the RR engines seem to move as well).

Opps. It's only the 767-200s that are underpowered, not the 300s.

The 763 is not the most overpowered aircraft...The 1st place is still kept by the 757-200 with the RollsRoyce engines. 2nd place is the 737-400.I think the 763 is just about right. As for the 777, it's overpowered alright... Boy, those are some engines!!!Even a NBA player can STAND in those engines intakes!!!!Quite impressive!George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

757's with RR, now??? Hmmm. And all this time I thought it was A340-300's that were underpowered! :-lolNote: Last year I took a one hour flight (PIT-BDL) on a RR powered 757 (US Airways). It was pretty much full (of pax), and climbed up to FL410 in around 20 min or so. I don't think THAT one was underpowered. :)

No..no..no...You got me wrong...I was talking about OVERpowered a/c, not underpowered! The RR 752 is THE most overpowered a/c, followed by the 734...:-)George DorkofikisAthens, Hellas

I think we have to stop using the words "over" and "under since they are so similar. I suggest saying "under" and "un-under" instead so there will be no confusion. ;-)And... Didn't someone say that a twin can't be under-powered, because it has to be able to fly on only one engine? And exactly how is "under-powered" defined anyway?Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

>And... Didn't someone say that a twin can't be >under-powered, because it has to be able to fly on only one >engine? And exactly how is "under-powered" defined anyway? Good point. There is no such thing as underpowered twin - by the definition.Michael J.
