Here's my latest update. As you can see, to keep the perspective right, I kept the photo for this view. (I know, I know... there's no R/A tape... this is from a United 757 cockpit) It's quite nice to fly in bad weather, and you get great visibility as well! As usual, I appreciate each and every one of your comments! Thanks.Phil Geddes

Me too. I wanna see :(

Your Simming CommunityFILE UPLOAD ERRORYou must first login to use this feature.... Go figure.... I guess I'll try posting in the morning! Or the screenshots forum, I don't know if that will make any difference...

Bingo!

Oh... the stand-by ADI is from the PSS 757 series, so I'll have to try and find a substitute.. any ideas?? Thanks.Phil Geddes

Wow, this one is nice, it gives a good landing view and keep the 3D aspect of a real panel (MCP closer to the eye than the PFD). Great!I love it.Can you send it to me by email ? [email protected] I could test it tonight ;)PS : is it possible to remove the flash light ? ;)

I hate these "me too" postings.....but could you include me as well please??Many [email protected]

That looks nice Phil, and no need for the pop-up displays which some dislike.I look forward to your upload when you are happy with it, and thanks for your efforts.Rgds

Very nice. Can't wait.Bob Johnson Sr. (KMIE)

More pics!Regards,Phil Geddes

Phil,These look GREAT!! You are really capturing just what it looks like in RL.Here are a couple of pics that I had a jumpseat rider take one morning as we landed in MSP. They don't show the cockpit very well, but you can see your's trulys head and get an idea of what a terrific view the 757 gives you on landing. http://images.honesty.com/imagedata/h/296/70/32967056.jpgOn about a 2 nm final to rwy 30L.http://images.honesty.com/imagedata/h/281/22/32812243.jpgComing "across the fence".http://images.honesty.com/imagedata/h/204/90/32049070.jpgAt cruise over Lake Michigan heading from DTW to MSP.Please keep up the good work! Oh, and I was wondering what kind of screenshot program you're using...they look incredible. I'm using Hypersnap for my "767 Pilot in Command" review, but they are looking very substandard for what I have in mind (probably the biggest reason the first installment of the review hasn't been published yet). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again,BBall-------------------------Capt. William "BBall" BallBoeing 757, Northwest AirlinesSenior Editorwww.frugalsworld.com

Thanks very much for the comments! It's especially meaningful coming from a rw pilot like yourself... I'm using Paintshop Pro by JASC. It's a real straight forward, yet capable program. It's what I used to edit all the bitmaps for this thing! Simply take your shots, than resize them to 800x600 in PaintShop and it gives you good quality for about 80k per image.I've gotten a lot of input in making this view. It is, I believe, a fair compromise between the pilot's view outside, and the instruments that he must reference on approach. The default PIC bitmap just didn't have the right perspective to make it look like you were looking "down" at the instruments on approach. I'll also include my previous bitmap, which was also provided to me by "Jake" from airliners.net. He's responsible for many of those brilliant 767 cockpit shots on that site. Would you be able to make any further suggestions, say for example, on the perspective outside the flightdeck. Is my zoom okay? Again, I really appreciate your feedback! Thanks.Sincerely,Phil GeddesAFROTC Cadet

Wow. Congrad. I love the prespective, with a hint of center post and all. You'll need to remove the flash in photoshop or something, because it'll look really ugly at night.BTW, how about some night shots?

Is there a utility for removing flash, or will I just have have to use the clone tool? Glad you like it! I need to learn how to do flood lights now... lolPhil Geddes
