November 26, 200223 yr Ok, I rarely fly at night (because that time belongs to my wife :) ) so I was a bit suprised tonight when I taxied to KATL 27R and flipped on the landing lights of my POSKY V3 and behold, I could see the lights from the cockpit. I seem to vaguely remember my dislike of flying PIC at night because I had trouble taxiing (yeah, I know..poor excuse). So my question is this...have you been able to see the lights all along and I just don't remember or was this recently added? ThanksJeff
November 27, 200223 yr Stratus, et al...I checked the file dates on my AIR and CFG files, they have not been updated with the 3rd Party Patch...so I must conclude that fuel burn and fuel imbalances must also be unaffected. The third gem remains a mystery still.Bye for now,Rob.
November 27, 200223 yr Commercial Member Thanks Rob.I checked the air in my tires and they remain unchanged as well. I am NOT driving a VW Golf. I have the POSKY Plymouth Voyager v1982 3.3 litre engine with the paint flaking off on the engine hood (or bonnet) and roof.I'm still getting about 40 km a litre.Does this help?DSCVA3339 The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
November 27, 200223 yr As always, a morning smile is produced my Mr. DS, thank you.I've heard the 1982 POSKY Plymouth V-ger (Star Trek reference intended) is a real fire breather; laying patches at will...and beating other high performance 80's roadsters such as the Dodge Aries and Reliant K, the Yugo Justy, and GM Gremlin 4 bangers. I guess you have to be very gentle on the pedal with that kind of power at your command.Nutt-ah you are!
November 29, 200223 yr Hi all, also, I have never noticed the hatch that is open on the back underside of the hull, straight down below the apu hatch. Has this always been there and what is it. I did close the apu when flipping the switch but this hatch stays open. You can actually see something like a hydraulic lever pushing open the hatch.WS
November 29, 200223 yr Commercial Member Yeah that's the handy tail strike pad.Cool looking eh?It retracts on gear up.DSCVA3339 The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
November 29, 200223 yr 'It retracts on gear up.'That's assuming you remember to raise (& lower of course) the gear at the appropriate time ... ;) - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
November 29, 200223 yr i noticed that the patch for third party devices also changed the amount of the thrust reversers from about 65% to 58%, maybe this makes the landing distence more realistic?
November 29, 200223 yr Hmmm - I had not noticed the reverse thrust increase, but I can confirm that the fuel burn per engine is more (if not totally) balanced now. Usually in a 1 to 1.5 hour flight I have an imbalance of 3-600 lbs. This seems to have disappeared. The APU is giving power and pneu as low as %60. This is all a puzzle to me as the AIR and CFG files have not been updated, the actual fuel flow does not seem to have changed either. Must be something in the gauge files causing these changes??While the Cabin Doors is nice to see on the EIACS, I will be re-installing PIC767 over the weekend and going back to the old faithful FS2k2 patched version.Rob.
November 29, 200223 yr Hi Rob,I visited that site but I seem to only be able to find what I think is the original FS2002 patch, presumably there is a new patch you are all referring to??Has it got a specific name or identifier?Best WishesEric Pennington
