December 13, 200223 yr Well done. I "read" the whole thing in 5 minutes. Now I need to find a free hour to read it again.Michael J.[link:jdtllc.com]http://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg Michael J.
December 13, 200223 yr This is a good review. Would have been interested to see some remarks on the Land 2 and Land 3 capabilities. Was a bit on the 'wordy' side (just a bit too much prose for me) but quite thorough.I did find that this statement from page 2 is not accurate, however:I also select the TAKEOFF prompt and input our flap setting and our flap retraction altitude (also known as the
December 14, 200223 yr Just a few things. He mentioned that he couldn't find any SIDs. That's a little odd. Another, He has LNAV and VNAV selected on the takeoff. Big booboo. ;-)
December 14, 200223 yr That's a little odd. Another, He has LNAV and VNAV >selected on the takeoff. Big booboo. ;-) How so? Quite possibly that's how it's done at NWA. Big booboo. ;-) This is exactly how I was doing it in the PIC before one of the 767 pilots on this forum told us this not the textbook operation. Now I can see this is not such an oddity after all. I admit I loved this LNAV/VNAV selected on the ground ...Michael J. Michael J.

December 14, 200223 yr This thread from the old forums might be helpful:http://www.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...D43&archive=yes
December 14, 200223 yr OK well I guess it does vary. So at UAL they always go CMD at 400AGL? Sounds a tad early. ;-)
December 14, 200223 yr This is what they do at AAL also, apparently. I think 400 AGL may be a Boeing recommendation.
