After many hours of hard work the view is now ready. There are a couple of things that must be addressed. I had to modify the aircraft cfg to disable "gear failure". This is a trade off that I am willing to have seeing that I never use that particular failure. You will get the warning, just that the gear will not get stuck. It has been reported that if you switch to the landing view BEFORE the IRS completes the alignment it will cause the IRS to fail. I am still working on this. You must re-merge all your posky aircraft so that it matches the new aircraft cfg. You can change your Posky aircraft cfg manually, there is just ONE number to change and I have a detailed readme file for instructions. It works also with the default aircraft but I suggest that you use a Posky/merge or you will not have landing lights from the VFR panel and the view down will be pronounced. You can use "shift backspace" and "shift enter" to adjust this. Some features include,1] Landing Lights and weather effects {rain on windsreen} from the vfr view.2] One hidden "click spot" to and from views.3] You can "pan" in any direction while in vfr view without resetting to the main panel view.4] Greatly increased forward view while using the vfr panel.5] There are no gear retracting OR deploying problems anymore.6] Combined upper and main panel.7] Four possible types of panels to choose from {see screen shots below} although only one of each type {main & vfr} can be used. 8] Consistency between vfr and main panel. 9] Improved frame rate while using landing viewMany thanks to Mike Bevington and Ian Mitchell for all the input. Thanks to Lee Hetherington for the XML switch-over gauge {modified}

Het Randy: Thanks for your panel. There is only one word that can describe this: Excellent. I love it and use it for almost every approach inless its bad weather. Good job on the panel!! And almost talking to you everyday, I know for a fact that you worked hard on the panel. Good Job Chris

Yes that is not good. Ok, will see if I can use the original {gear gauge} some way without crashing. I will also put some more gauges out of site and see if that has any effect. Fingers crossed!

Hi !Is there anyone else, who CAN NOT get the lights to work in the new landing-view ????? I have the rain, but NOT the landing lights.Let me reassure that I have the v3 POSKY 763 perfectly merged, and I even tried Randy's own merged POSKY 763, but it didn't help.I have tried everything, and have installed the view 110% as per instructions many times. I have even reinstalled PIC, but to no avail.Also, the "landing lights" -option IS enabled in the settings, if someone was thinking about commenting on that.In other words, everything SHOULD be set absolutely correctly, but there is a glitch somewhere, and I can't, for the life of me, figure out WHERE?! What the heck does it imply that I have the raindrops working in the view, but the lights don't show in the cockpit (they DO show externally, surprise surprise...)Any ideas welcome! I'm pretty angry that I can't use this latest "discovery" due to some glitch that I don't know how to fix.ThanksTero

Do the lights show up in the normal cockpit view? If yes, I can't imagine why they do not show up in the landing view if you are using Randy's latest file sets.If no,- Confirm you have the FS2002 patch and only the FS2002 patch installed- Try turning on and off the lights with the 'L' key a few times.- Jump in and out of another aircraft with lights turned on and confirm you can see the lights- Verify you have a clean merge with POSKY (you already said that)- Go back to the configuration just after installing the Lee's Merge and test the normal cockpit view there- Try a search of the archives and see if someone else has run into this- and, ah, ah, ah, just trying to brainstorm an idea for you here

The rain drops do show, and as beautiful as they are, they do not make up for the missing landing lights :). Puzzled,Tero

I have had this problem since my original POSKY merge. I have no idea why. I can see the lights from spot view but not from inside the cockpit. Interestingly, my landing lights do work from inside the cockpit on my Opensky AAL 767.I hope someone can figure this out. I would really like to have working landing lights.Damon

Damon,Very interesting... I'm gonna try an original POSKY 767 now, and see if I also get the lights in the VC view. Then I will look into what the merge does, and maybe the answer lies there... regards,Tero

The problem Mike came across is now FIXED! Also, there will be no need to re-merge any files plus a few other goodies! Stay tuned

Hey guys - everyone! Give the email requests a rest for a while if you would please. The band width requirements are killing Randy's fixed budget of data transfers. As soon as it looks like the view package is working the way we all want it to, there will be a download link.
