The IFDG Boeing 757-200 series coupled with Randy J. Smith's excellent panel modifications bring PIC up to a new level within FS2k2. I have to say it...PIC is simply unsurpased by any, and I mean any commercial or freeware package aircraft product available for MSFS, even after years of development time availability this product has not only lasted but actually out performs anything todate. I own 'em all and this was truly ahead of its time.Close your eyes and think for a minute, can you imagine what this group could offer in a new product? I am sure it would set the bar for the next 5 years.just my thoughts... thanks for reading.

With the very real possibility of using this in Microsoft's Newest flight simulator, we can see many more great times flying our beloved bird. Jet wise, I see only a couple that will be parked next to my UAL 767, PMDG's 737NG and Sim Works A310. But, these to will always be compared to the one that set the standard for accurate Flight dynamics, FMC etc. The future is bright for the flight simming community and I am glad to be a part of it.Best Wishes,Randy J. yep...set the standard, what, 3 years ago now?Alas, I am prone to thinking that this PIC may have been just one of those "diamond in the ruff" products. Once it became appearant just how much work it involves, it transformed into a one and only. Especilly with implementation for FS2k2 and now FS2k4, the work would probably have to double.but to be honest, I would gladly pay double the price, probably more :-)

When the TCAS gauge is ready, the PIC767 will, once again, be more capable and advanced than any new product currently on the MS-FS after-market...simply the best product for FS bar none.and special thanks to the people who brought us the crowning touches to a fantastic panel...for example...POSky v3 767 visual modelPICPOS MergeTaxi Light switchesVFR ViewsRadio stack 777 gauge add-inTrimmed upper panel bitmapand last but not least, the ultimate 'tweak'...TCAS - coming soon to a VSI near you!Rob.

Hey Rob,Where did you get the taxi light addon? Yeah yeah Stiffy I'll check the history and search the file library but I'm sure Rob wouldn't mind replying ;)

Ha... :-)Ask Randy to send you the VFR/Landing panel; it has the taxi lights. Alternatively you could look for the "taxilightv3.zip" file by Gauthier Halbardier in the AVSIM library.

>PIC is simply unsurpased by any, and I mean any commercial >or freeware package aircraft product available for MSFS, I had to comment on this one ...Yes, the PIC has been the standard for a long time but there is a new kid on the block called "Flight1's Meridian" and I must say in terms of the gauge-movement quality it sets the new bar. Not even the PIC can deliver the same silk-smooth avionics. BTW, frame rates and smooth gauges are not necessarily related one-to-one, you can have great frame rates but still quantum-like jumpy needle movements. I am telling you my dear PIC compatriots that after I flew manual ILS approach using this super smooth ADI/CDI stuff it is difficult to fly anything else. I am hooked. It is the new world order for me. ;-) Michael J.

Yes the gauges are very incredible amoung other things Michael, BUT it's not an jet airliner so comparing the two is really not that relevant. Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"AMD XP2100 |MUNCHKIN512 DDR RAM |ECS[/b ]K7S5A MB |[b]GF364 MEG |WIN XP PRO

>BUT it's not an jet airliner so comparing the two >is really not that relevant. Well, it is comparing underlying technologies, not aircraft types. At least this is how I look at it. So from this perspective it is quite comparable.Michael J.

Well sure but we are dealing with a product that was made for FS2000 and comparing that technology of gauges etc with a one made in 2003 is not really the issue to me. Sure the Filght 1 looks better, who can deny that? But I don't care how nice a GA aircraft is, it is not in the same league as an jet. PIC's flight dynamics simulating a 767 is the best ever made for that aircraft. We cannot compare Flight 1's FMC because GA aircraft have none LOL. So yes I will own the flight 1 because it's an incredible aircraft to be sure, but it ain't no PIC!Best Wishes,Randy J. >FMC because GA aircraft have none LOL. I wouldn't LOL. It has Garmin GNS530 which by many is regarded as the FMC for a GA aircraft. And this one in itself is an awesome piece of work.Michael J.

I have been looking forward to the Meridian for some time. If you search on my name you will see just how excited I have been for this release. When it was posted, I went and got my credit card. BUT, I happened to be scanning the forums for somthing to read during the download process. All set to go, but low and behold, I started seeing postings (literally every few minutes it seemed) about hammered frame rates. So I put my card back to wait for the dust to settle. Here is my situation; XPSP2, AMD2100 GF3 TI200 512ram 18fps locked (avg fps indicates 16-18)running; FS2k2(sliders 75%), FSMeteo, RC3, (somtimes FSNav) Look, I'm kinda on the edge here, this is not a monster system, and I just cant take a 5-10 frame loss. Maybe a 2-3 loss may be OK, but I am worried that if I have to start knocking out most of the components and elements that make the Meridian great, I mean whats the point? I truly feel that I would not be doing this fantastic package justice by bringing it onboard and making a cartoon of it. Just does not seem fair to myself of the Meridian team.I think I will wait till the weekend to make a final decision on this, maybe the forums will compile a nice tweak listing or somthing.Anyways, thats my thoughts on it, as a GA - there is no doubt that this thing is above and beyond.

767PIC is now what A320PIC will be in short time. Not short enough, but what's a few hundred meters between friends?PDX Mike is exactly right though- you have to groom and oogle 767PIC to get it to that proper performance level...In the end these planes are like racehorses in a can: they bust out, cause a mess, you clean them up and over time they get --Real Pretty & Perfect-- but yeah man you pay for that because they don't give out 767 pilot seats to every bloke who wants one, right? in the end when you're out over the Atlantic at night, bad weather, bumpy black on black except for your green humming friend (and beer) -it's an unduplicable experience, that's what I wanted to say in the first place: "Thain't Nothin' Like It!"what's this all about: "IFDG Boeing 757-200 series coupled with Randy J. Smith's" ?Who has let the dogs out on a screen shot of that for the audience?
