Hey guys,Here are the rest of the pics I was planning on posting from my last trip...http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...78020358_12.jpgWalking to the jet on day three. We were to leave Grey Army Airfield at Ft. Hood, TX, with a full load to Victorville, Ca. At that point, the cabin crew was to "limo" to the layover hotel in Ontario, and the F/O and I were to ferry the jet cross country to arrive at Andrews AFB at apx. 0430 EDT.http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...21261267_13.jpgSome "funny" ARMY type version of the King Air. I wanted to go give it a look-see, but I was afraid I would end up face down on the pavement with an M-16 perched against the back of my cranium. :)http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...16525017_17.jpgShortly after "gear up" climbing out of Ft. Hood.http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...12160300_18.jpgNo mystery why pilots have all those "laugh lines" around our eyes, eh? http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...93059484_19.jpgDescending into KVCV. If it looks hot...it's only because it was. 36 degrees C, with a dewpoint of -02.http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...91590076_24.jpgThe "official" name of the old George Air Force Base.http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...59148360_22.jpgTroops gone, cabin crew gone...just me, the ops agent, the fueler and the F/O....and of course about a zillion mothballed jets. I counted 18 United new Boeing 747-400s sitting idle!http://images.andale.com/f2/109/127/632235...47214958_25.jpgThe next time we saw the "big off flag in the sky", we would be standing on the ramp at Andrews AFB looking east. It was a long night, but kind of fun flying almost 2000 miles by ourselves.that's about it guys, I hope you enjoyed them.Again, I'm planning on a "Logbook" concerning this trip over at Frugalsworld in the near future.take care all,BBall---------------------Capt. "Descending into KVCV. If it looks hot...it's only because it was. 36 degrees C, with a dewpoint of -02."Must have been HOT and HUMID :D(terrible weather for finding the grass airfield back in my glider, but the thermals that sometime appear ....Greetz

Superb pics! Hey Lenny, 36*C and dewpoint of -02 means DRY weather! not HUMID lol! I'm sure that's what you meant though! The temperature differential between OAT and Dewpoint is an inverse inidication of relative humiditity. Greater difference, lower the humidity (or drier the air, which ever way you want to call it) et al. Cheers[br]obklogo.gif[/img]
