As luck would have it, it is on their half day of school.I've walked on the tarmac within 20' of one once at EGLL while walking to an ATR. It's a very impressive piece of machinery. One of my work colleaugues has his photo taken right in front of the nose on the ramp.

It's a very impressive piece of machinery.> But, I've never seen one flying.>>Lee Hetherington (KBED)Lee, I grew up in Brooklyn NY and used to go to KJFK to watch the Concorde depart from 31L - the viewpoint was the rooftop parking of the Pan AM terminal (stone's throw from the runway - provided you had a arm like Roger Clemens ... :-)).I now live within the pattern of KIAD and made special trips to the departure end of 1L to see the Concorde depart.My point - find a way to get out there to see it land, *but go again* to see it depart. It is both beautiful and awesome!-michael
