PIC767 v2

Oh man Hawkman lol, you have brought up was has been a sore subject to say the least but hopefully people we see that we are all winners as long as there is competition amounst developers. First, PIC is PIC, what more can one say? It started it all for many of us including myself. Sure PIC is not perfect but damn close at least in a desktop environment. There really is no comparing the two products, one for the simple fact they they are 2 completely differnt aircraft from differnt developement time frames. A better question would be how have these two aircraft expanded our knowledge of the aircraft they represent? They both have made my simulator time a very good one and have made me many a friend. The NG was plagued by many faults at first, when modelleing such complex aircraft systems there was bound to be mistakes or things missed. It has come a very long way and continues to be refined and things added. I must say that I am amazed at the completity of it AFDS. I was just last night trying some things out of Bill Bulfer's NG FMC book (it's more than strictly FMC operations) and was blown away at how precise the PMDG NG performed. As for PIC, it can only get better. All the little items mentioned in this forum throughout the years I am sure Wade has taken note of for the new version. The very much missed EO pages etc. Wade and team have an incredible starting point don't you agree? Wade could have said forget the whole project but for reasons known only to him and those close to him he choose to continue and build upon this great legend. So to answer your question Hawkman, they are both worthy of our time and money. I would not say one is better than the other but that both are unique in their own ways and various aircraft styles.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Randy is right. One addition though. Those who think of PICv2 merely as a "FS2004 upgrade with networkable gauges" are seriously underestimating Wade & co. And I know this for a fact...Tero

Personally I don

Well you never know...however,even if it comes out for fs2006 I'm sure it'll be worth the wait ! And if it does come out upon release of FS2006, think positive...It will then be state of the art and hopefully we might, just might see, less posts concerning hypothetical upgrades and how to use a simple search engine and therefore get back to the more interesting technically orientated posts (the ones from which I and many others no doubt, often learn something). In the meantime I'm still "Flying" PIC v1 with all it's imperfections (God knows there are soooo many, starting with, ...huh, ...,hmmm... hold on while I find something...Ok ! I'll get back to you on that !!)No seriously, even if PIC v2 comes about for fs2006 well, so be it. Like many others, I eagerly await it's "roll out" and hope that it will be sooner rather than later. In the meantime, I'm grateful to Wade and the team for having put me as close as possible to the drivers seat of a Boeing 767 /757...(Thanks Tero!). No doubt PIC v2 will put me closer still...so what if it does take a little time !Tschuess. Regards to all

Matthias,Why not ? ;)Tero
