March 17, 200422 yr Hi all,I don't find nothing about the web site where I can found more informations about PIC767 version 2. Do this web site exists??? Which is the address???Thanks.
March 17, 200422 yr AlbertoUnfortunately, there is no such website at the moment. PIC version 2 is being kept under rather tight wraps, so apart from the announcement Wade Chafe made a few months ago on this forum, there hasnt been much else said.Regards,Lee Holland. Lee Holland
March 17, 200422 yr I am sick of people asking about PIC V2. People are waiting for a project that has no screenshots, and not much information. All we have is the word of one man who says he is making a remake of the original, and then doesn't give much more info out on it. The PIC world in turn goes mad for it!I wouldn't mind knowing myself at what stage this 'project' is at, and if it will ever be released! So come on Wade, give out some more news on it, and put everyone out of there misery.
March 17, 200422 yr Jacko,It has been said a million times here already that the project is not a fantasy, and is coming along. If the team has decided to take a "no previews" -approach with PICv2 let's respect that. It doesn't mean that nothing is being made behind the scenes. So, I ask everyone to refrain from commenting on the subject with such a disrespectful tone. All that needs to be said about PICv2 has already been said.Good things come to those who wait. Once the project materializes itself to each PIC-fan's hard-drive I'm sure all this waiting pays off.Tero PPL(A)
March 17, 200422 yr i can only second you in that TeroLast time this team develloped something they also did it more or less under covers only in the final final production stage did they shed previews. And that's what's happening now, and I think it's smart because it will wimp of all those hotshot- iknowitall's that will find something to criticise everytime a preview is posted....(mostly unrightfully)Patience is a virtue fellows...it's just the same with my real world training, i ain't getting none till october 4th this year... guess i'm gonna have to be patient and WAIT!!!but i know i'm waiting for a good cause...(hey i hear HollandExell is taking ab-initio's on for their B763's :D let's hope they buy another one in 2 years and are desperately looking for 'young crews' ) cheers
March 17, 200422 yr Everyone is entitled to their own views Tero. On a lighter note, how are you coming on with your latest FDE on the 757?
March 17, 200422 yr Jacko,Absolutely right. I just wanted to express my own view (which Lenny also nicely expanded) about the mystical subject of PICv2 and whether or not it's only a tale...The FDE thing is progressing very well :). At the moment we are developing version 3 with a beta-team full of 757/767 experts (3 757 pilots are in the team, 6 professional pilots altogether).Just last week one of our 757 pilots said he regarded the FDE the best he had ever "flown" in MSFS, and that it was "very very close to the real thing". Pretty good, I think ;). So stay tuned.cheers,Tero PPL(A)
March 17, 200422 yr Hi Tero, not sure if you already answered that, but will you make an fs9 compatible version as well this time? I lost the ability to run Fs2K2 (long story) and I'm completely 767-757-less for quite some time (not to mention PIC-less ).Thanks,Ilan
March 17, 200422 yr You have to admit people are bound to be curious,it would be nice just to have some info from time to time just to keep us up to speed as we all are eagerly awaiting any info. It sometimes seems (with respect) that the subject seems like a taboo subject.
March 17, 200422 yr well yo have to consider that saying A means saying Bthey can simply not shed any information as it would really, believe me, result in a stream of requests for ETA's, feature lists and so on.Actually all wade did was say there was something being built. But not too much more.So if the team gets it more easy and relax to work this way, i can understand it fully.Don't take this wrong, i too have a strong interest on what's happening... i'd love to know... but it's simple, we can't ... yetso we'll need to learn to live with it for a whileCheers

It is simple, the Ver2 will be a direct port to FS9 with the ability to network the gauges - nuff said. There is no 'upgrade' to any of the visuals, so in essence the panels will look exaclty like they do in FS2k. I also believe that there will be no VC either. If you still have your FS2k and PIC installed you can get all the screenshots you need. Couple this with the ablilty to copy the scenery files over from FS9 (as some have done) and your basically there. March 18, 200422 yr "I am sick of people asking about PIC V2."Then please encourage these "people" to stop asking ;-)"People are waiting for a project that has no screenshots, and not much information."What's to be gained from seeing pictures of a sim which may be many months away? (other than to torment these "people" even more). Would posting pictures of the sim bring the sim to you any quicker? (I'd say the exact opposite). Pictures tend to generate more questions, rather than less, which take time to be answered (taking people away from programming/testing). Remember that the PIC team is no longer under the umbrella of a corporation/conglomerate... there are just a few guys now). Perhaps all the progress on programming PICv2 has been made on things you can't see (say, system logic), so there really won't be any point posting pictures. As far as I know, a beta has not been released yet, and until this time, no sim features can be guaranteed (beta's tend to find some problems which cannot be rectified, so the troublesome features cannot be included... It happens to all sims)."All we have is the word of one man who says he is making a remake of the original, and then doesn't give much more info out on it."I'm pretty sure Wade's word is as good as anyone's ;-)"I wouldn't mind knowing myself at what stage this 'project' is at, and if it will ever be released!"Perhaps now that MS have (only) just (today?) released the panel SDK for FS2004, we may see signs of activity/progress? "So come on Wade, give out some more news on it, and put everyone out of (their) misery."Er....Who says manners are dead??? Gimme, gimme! :-)I don't quite understand why knowing if/when it will come out is so important to some folks. Is it stopping them doing anything in the meantime? Is it pivotal to their future hardware and software purchase decisions? Will they not buy PICv2 if it comes out on Wednesday instead of Tuesday? Christmas instead of Thanksgiving? My 2c's worth.Rgds.Ian.
March 20, 200422 yr "You have to admit people are bound to be curious" Well it seems to be, but this issue, if we can call it that is in Wade's creative hands, no doubt when the timing is right he will have all of us salivating ;). Until then it's a waiting game, really can't blame the guys here seeing that this question is brought up so much but Tero and the guys are very curtious in answering questions with *correct* information.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
