December 30, 200421 yr Hello LaurentJust to ask you will this piece of hardware still work in the new version 2 767 ?cheers Keith
December 30, 200421 yr Hi,My main goal is first to get this Level-D 767 to life in the planned time frame. For now, there is some more work needed to get the Aerosoft's MCP working again. It's probable that the upcoming release will not have this feature activated, but we will work on it after.
December 30, 200421 yr Not sure how many people are flying with this MCP, but to me it's a real disappointment not to be able to use mine from the start. Let's hope the the second release will support it. Kind regards,Stephan Haaswww.lemont.nl/b767flightdeckhttp://www.pic767flyingclub.com/images/sas544.jpg
December 30, 200421 yr Oh no !..... Well I think I have to stay with PIC767 in FS2002 for the time being. My Home Cockpit is centered around this magnificent piece of hardware. The MCP is one of the main systems for flying the PIC767. I certainly hope that your second release will support it (and it does not take another year...)Best Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
December 30, 200421 yr Hi Laurent,Thanks for the info.I too have been using the MCP + EFIS/EICAS controls for 3 years now and I could not do without it. It's good to hear that you are working to make Level-D compatible with it.Cheers.
December 30, 200421 yr Hi Laurent,Looking forward to all new features of your wonderful 767,.....but oeps,....the Aerosoft MCP is not only an excellent "autopilot",.....for a lot of "pro-users" it's also the mainframe of our simulated hardware because of the expansion-ports for buttons, handles, rotaries etc. This wil be all useless without MCP-compatibility!! So hopefully you'll put this compatibility on top of the update-list. Best wishes for 2005 for the whole LDS-team!!Jeroen op den AkkerThe Netherlands
December 30, 200421 yr Hi LaurentFirst thankyou for the prompt response advising of the situation regarding the Aerosoft MCP and LD767....at least we know where we are at. I am also disappointed that this functionality will not be available in the first release but understand the commercial considerations. I hope you can get the MCP integrated in a reasonable time frame. Also many of us who have built our simulators around PIC767 were hopeful (and given some expectations in the earlier stages of development of "version 2")that access to variables would be made available. Can you advise if this is still likely to happen in the future or if maybe if the SDK would be available for others to develop in this way?If we know where we stand at least we can plan accordingly. Many thanks for any information in this regard.
December 31, 200421 yr Author Hi Laurentthanks for the answer, waiting with baited breath!!cheers keith
December 31, 200421 yr now this is bad news! :-(I fly only with the MCP+Efis+Eicas - I won't be able to use LDS767 in my cockpit at all without support for it...hoping for some good news about it after all, happy new year!
December 31, 200421 yr Hi,Thanks for the update...Nice to hear that you do plan to update it to function with the MCP. Like other users of this great piece of hardware I look forward to being able to use it with a most likely piece of outstanding software.peace , hapiness and many happy landings in the new year to all
January 2, 200521 yr Well, at least MCP compatibility is on your task list. The PIC767 was the reason many of us purchased the MCP/EFIS and those of us with a considerable investment in time, effort, and hardware will await the addition of compatibility with LDS767 with great anticipation. Thanks for your efforts.Rob G
January 3, 200521 yr I agree with all of the above regarding the use of the 747MCP. It is a very important part to be used. I am presently using it with the 737NG and am looking forward to be able to use it with the 767.Tom
