767 Sounds

Featured Replies

Hello there!I'm really looking forward to the release of the new 767 PIC! In the last version, i remember with increased altitude the engine noise slowly got drowned out by the wind noise. I'm not sure if it was an addon to the first PIC or if it came with the original. Will this be a feature of the Level D product? Thanks for your timePyjamas

Someone did an add-on sound package for PIC that were fantastic. I just can't rememebr the name of who did them though. Hopefully we will see a similar soundset with this one.

I think it was someone who goes by the user name, bobk? I'm not quite sure ...ohhh, or was it obk? I can't remember.Pyjamas

Hey there,Yep, it was the latter. OBK was his forum alias. I think his real name is Ben Alexander Brown. His sound files are fantastic. I remember him saying a few months ago that he was going to update his sounds again, but I havent heard anything since.

Ben has produced an update of that sound set and has graciously allowed us to include it in the product. If he finds the time he plans on producing an even better sound package for us.Wade

This just keeps getting better and better. Thanks for the update Wade.

I agree.Simply Fantastic.Pyjamas

Hi,I've used them for a while but I found them a little "too windy' in the cockpit. In august 2004 I switched to a sound set from Rob Hall. That one is my favourite uptil now. Hope it'll be possible to use it in the LDS version too.Nicowww.nicokaan.nlfc.php?vatsim=814584&indicator=OD1&a=pic767.jpg

Well you can always replace the sound set as you did before. We've made it even easier now by moving some of the sounds that were embeded in gauges out into a folder so they can be replaced by the user.Wade

Nico, what is even easier to do is if you like the sound set that comes with it but don't like the wind noise, go into the sound folder of the aircraft, look up the sound.cfg and find the wind file. From there you can reduce the volume manually and it will always stay at that level for you till you choose to change it. Very easy!

Hey guys,I am very interested to know whether or not you can hear any sort of buzzing sound eminating from the avionics suite on the 767 flightdeck. I am guessing the sound would be drowned out by the air conditioning, otherwise I would assume that particular sound would have been included in OBK's package.I have edited a few sounds myself in the past, so I would be very keen on adding the avionics buzz sound to the current PIC and Level-D 767 when its released if it is indeed heard clearly on the real thing.
