February 26, 200620 yr This came out of left field, at least for me. Anyone familiar with this group or software? It's a voice activated addon for the LDS767http://www.leftseatsimulations.com/ Fitz
February 26, 200620 yr Yeah I bought the 767 Copilot last night. The voice recognition on it is great! I can call for gear up and down.. and have the copliot change headings and lots of other stuff by just using my mic. It has no hit on your Flight Simulator performance, it is great!
February 26, 200620 yr Author Sounds interesting, butI've been waiting for FS2Crew for the LDS767. Think I'll wait and see if there turns out to be any conflict's. I'm starting to have so many addons running at the same time, it's a wonder my computer doesn't just shoot itself someday. fitz
February 27, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Fitz,FS2Crew 767 is just around the corner.Check out the new video in my FS2Crew-767 sub-forum located a few down from here on Avsim. It shows something I've done that's "Never Been Done in the 20 year history of Flight Simulator".Be sure to turn the volume up real loud...Enjoy,Bryan B. February 27, 200620 yr hahahahah!! "just when you thought you've seen everything in flight sim" is right!Great one, Bryan!Still doesn't answer the question of whether FS2Crew will be able to co-exist with 767CoPilot though :-hmmmApparently you can put the co-pilot to sleep and wake him up again when needed.Cheers :-beerchugTony
February 27, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Tony,Thanks... and there's more where that's coming from :-)I know that you won't be able to use them at the exact same time of course, you should be able to have both installed on your computer. It looks like a neat program, though. I wish the developer of Left Seat sim all the best. It's good for FS2Crew because our products are not competitors in my view as they're very, very different in terms of functionality, goals and depth. However the more people that know about multi-crew flying, the better. It amazes me that users demand ultra realism in terms of systems, but when it comes to operating their 767, they throw realism out the window and operate it like a Cessna 172. 767s are not certified for single-pilot IFR :-)Cheers,Bryan B. February 28, 200620 yr On the other hand, I don't have to deal with a cranky captain while flying LevelD :)John
February 28, 200620 yr As far as I'm concerned the LDS767 + RCv4.1 + FS2Crew + a few decent airports and we're getting things pretty darn close to simtopia. Mark Adeane - NZWN
