Cape Air VA

Featured Replies

Two questions: Will you include Cape Air's Florida and Caribbean operations? And, have you seen the C-404 Titan model at Simviation? It'll look better in Cape Air/Nantucket Airlines colors than a -421. :)Good luck. I'e enjoyed seeing those C-402s flying around the Cape and Islands for years. Also, my former flight instructor is/was a pilot with them.

Let me know if the Cape Air VA gets off the ground. I'm a retired ASEL VFR pilot now living on Cape. Have the C-421 and will travel!Good luck :-) Jack

Hi Kilstorm,I guess by the responses, you've got a real winner here. I am very interested in participating. In the real world, I work for COA down the road at KEWR. I think I may have some contacts at Cape Air. For FS2002, Im spending the majority of time with GA types, like F1 C421. I don't think Cape Air flys the C421 only the C402, but I could be wrong. email is:[email protected] Regards / Les Parson

You're right. They fly the -402, but there isn't a good -402 for FS2002. The -404 is pretty close though, and when you use the F1 421 sounds and panel, it makes a decent package. Now if you can just get the 404 author's permission to repaint...

His original post was last year.Is there an update on the status of this possible VA?I am interested because I just bought FSMaintenance and would love to see a VA use it.. although there are a couple of minor bugs.. and I don't think it works as well with small props as it does with jets, but it's very configurable..I think it would be fun!I'm interested in finding out the status of the VA.. did it just get dropped or is it still in the works??Jeff

i dont know officially but i was really excited about this as well but im afraid and it looks to me like it was dropped a truly great concept though no one else has done anything like this - that is using FSMciao!Brian S

Ciao!

Incorporating FSMaintenace into a VA is an almost impossible thing to do. It's hard enough getting pilots without requiring commercial software to join. Also, everytime someone completes a flight they must upload their FSMaintenance data for the next pilot to use.

Sounds like a great idea. Have both products and ready to go when you are!
