January 14, 200422 yr Hi , I'd like to register myself in a VA , but I don't know which one is the best , could you help me please , ThanksAMO
January 14, 200422 yr I think that Sky Travel Alliance is probably one of the best, overall we have 8 VA's; Excel Airways Virtual, Excelsior, Eurolink, Air Canary, Sola Expressa, Aero Praha, Go Virtual and Air Lynch Leasing. If you join the STA, you will be part of all the airlines, you fly for whichever you want! Take a look at our new site, www.sta-virtual.net If you like what you see then please join up, we will be happy for you to do so!
January 14, 200422 yr No matter what anyone says NOBLE AIR (www.nobleair.com) is the best Virtual Airline available and knows how to keep pilots! And it celebrates its 10th year of existance something NO other VA can claim to! And this year is having a major upgrade to the appearance of its Fleet Livery. It has 19 hubs worldwide some more active than others, Its staying power is its friendly approach and relaxad atmosphere! With 19 hubs theres allways a choice and each hub is individually run.
January 14, 200422 yr That's easy - MERIDIAN, of course! :) Don't just take my word for it, check it out for yourself. BobK
January 15, 200422 yr The truth is, Livewire Airlines is the largest, most active virtual airline on the internet. No other VA is as large or as popular. We run the most active FS MP server online, recieve more flights filed every month than any VA in the history of VAs. We also have the most active VA forums. I could go on and on about all the features that you'll find on the site that have made us the #1 virtual airline but you'll just have to come and see for yourself.Anyway, look forward to seeing you joining the ranks real soon!http://www.livewireairlines.comBlue skies,-Jon Finch

January 15, 200422 yr Hi There:Before I join any VA`s,I make sure they fly the kind of aircraft I enjoy, some VA`s are all big iron, some fly commuter routes some fly bush. There are some that fly a little of everything.I look at what part of the world I want to fly .What aircraft that I enjoy,If I want to fly online or not, maybe a little of both.and how serious I want to be.There are some great VA`s as mentioned above.I would just suggest you find one that suits you....happy flying
January 15, 200422 yr You know of all the responses to this question I think Julies' was about the best. All VA's are going to want you to join, even me. It dosn't matter which VA came first, is the biggest, most popular, most automated, what matters is that you want to fly. I've flown for a few VA's, I own two myself, to be honest I know my VA isn't the best, it doesn't need to be. Air Fresno's been around not quite 10 years, more like 6 years but even that doesn't really matter. Decided the following things:Do you want to fly a real world airline or an original design?Where do you want to fly from, what hub? What kind of aircraft do you want to fly?How often do you want to fly? What sim do you use?Using that as a guide line use a registery like flightsim.com to check registered airlines, or review past posts in this forum. Make an intelligent choice, even fly more than one if you need to. That's my 2 cents worth.Oh yeah, my VA is Air Fresno, http://home.earthlink.net/~airfresno/
January 17, 200422 yr Check out www.deltava.org. The community there is great, some of the most helpful and nicest people you'll ever meet. Definatley look around the web though, not every VA is for everybody. You'll find one that's right for you!
January 19, 200422 yr Hey there AMO. Well, it really depends on what kind of flying you like to do, and where! Also, how much realism do you want? Some VA's emulate real world airlines to a point where you may think you really belong to them, some are more "club" orientated. One think you want to look at is how often there site(s) are updated? Do they fly the latest aircraft for 2004/2002, how involved are the rest of the pilots? Do they encourage flying with Vatsim/IVAO, and ect. One VA I fly for offers Passenger flying as well as charters and cargo, and have one of the best fleets I've seen around! I'd take a look at the following:www.mountain-air.orgwww.saintpaulairlines.comwww.virtualfrontier.orgThese are all U.S. based VA's, so once again, it depends on where you want to fly! Good luck!Ken LeMay
January 23, 200422 yr I agree that everyone will say their airline, but the one that looked best to me before joining is Atlantic Sun Airways. Some of our screenshots can be found on this site.www.atlanticsunairways.comWe have a great staff, and 3 hubs.I've been there for almost 12 months now, and will NEVER leave!
January 23, 200422 yr The best VA?Well......Check out there forums....do they get plenty of use?, a busy forum is a good sign of a busy, friendly and helpful VA.Some VA's all you do is pick a flight, fly it, fill in the report, check your status, well you may as well fly on your own.A good VA should be a community.Well...thats my opinion
January 24, 200422 yr I concur 100% with you! I had not replied to his request earlier because he said he was looking for a VA, and we at APR are much more than a VA. We are a growing family and our friendship comes first before anuything else.If you still want to check us out, feel free to drop by our website at http://www.airpr.netregards,Efrain Ruiz, APR1Board MemberAirPUERTORICO Virtual Airlineshttp://www.airpr.net
January 28, 200422 yr That's a great comment from Reap, with which I whole-heartedly agree! I feel that's one of the strengths of my own organisation, the Flying Tigers Group. Be sure to check us out as well before you make your final decision.Good Luck and Blue Skies, whatever you decide :-)
