  1. I told myself "don't reply, don't post, don't add my 2 cents" but after reading comments to "buy a cheap 2nd computer" so that I can run FSX/SB4 together just makes me cringe....really?!? I have to go buy a 2nd computer, then buy a license for FSINN....man, this makes me want to join IVAO and start controller training so I can man some US airspace....and, to Word Not Allowed...your running a machine that can run NASA lol, of course you don't have issues ;-) Regards, Ken
  2. Thanks for the tips guys. The over head valves are tricky to adjust for me...they want to spin around and always stop pointing strait up....weird. I do start up fsx with the Baron. Ctrl E does nothing for me. I may remove and reinstall this bird....it's the only Caranado bird that gives me issues!
  3. Greetins all! I purchased the 337 over the weekend (17th of Sep) so I'm assuming it has the latest patch already? Two issues crop up for me. I'll start FS, go to my local airport, load up the Bonaza (Stock bird), get her going from cold and dark, with no issues. From there, I'll shut the bird down, and load up the 337. Two things won't work for me...one, no Becon light? I don't have any special lights installed, and the becon on the bonanza work fine. 2. She wont start? Fuel, check.....fuel levers, check....prime her up, check....turn the knob....nada. Now, If I load the bonanza back up, start her, lights, etc then go to the 337, it's running with the appropriate lights...I just can't get her to start from cold and dark? I'm not the brightest bulb, but it's not like I'm trying to start a 777 lol. Thanks all, Ken

    PHX

Outstanding, can't wait to fly there!Ken
  5. I don't beleive there is any flight planner specifically designed for FSX. I know the Flightsim Commander will work with it, but I've never really liked the interface like I did with FsNav and FS9.This is an area that I would really like to see some brilliant designer to hit!Ken
  6. Greetings all,Well after getting a "new" 9800GT 512Meg, and installing the latest drivers from Nvidia...I am having some issues with both FSX and FS9. First, System:Dell XPS 400, 4 Gig Ram, Windows XP (SP3), Dual Core 2.4Ghz, only use system for FS. FSX - Extreemly stuttery, even with sound turned off and most sliders leftish....10 percent traffic, no cars or boats.... FS9 - Runs smooth, but shimmery, and I cannot for the life of me get any AA! This is both Full Screen and Windowed. I run both in 32 bit, same settings as monitor. I have Nhancer, and would love to get some beginner settings for both...also, Im wondering, if it's a driver issue, where do most folks stop when it comes to installing latest drivers for "older" cards? Thanks all!P.S., I have done alot of serches, most of what I want to get are NHancer tips...but for the life of me I can't find anything on the actual settings, just references to settings....sigh...
  7. By any chance have you installed fs9 in between the previous carenado birds and this one? If so, it may be a registry issue. There is a freeware program here on avsim that you can run to "fix" this issue.Ken
  8. Tom,Both lights are controlled by one switch. I was hoping they would be seperate, but I've not found a way to do it.Ken
  9. Thanks for the replies. I wasn't stateing that the aircraft isn't a true fsx bird, just what I've read in other posts here in the avsim forums. I would think that maybe i've installed the bird wrong since no one else is seeing this?I'll have to play around with the "look" until it fits me.I'll have to check out the 152, looks like a great bird to fly!Ken
  10. Greetings all,I recently purchased the Mooney for FSX and have a minor issue. The strobe/becon lights flash extreemly quick. I've searched the forums here and found one poster stating that this issue is a "tell tale" sign that it IS NOT a true FSX aircraft. If this is the case, how can I resolve this issue without having to use the SDK to "reprogram" this special effect? Thanks all!
  11. Greetings all,I am in the search for a good "laymans" term guide on how to install ASX/XGraphics on my second networked computer; as well as the other software(s) needed to make this work?I'm not a computer genius, but did get my two computers, one printer and a laptop to all talk to each other lol.I've done some searching here in the Avsim forums, but man there is alot to sort through and I am just wondering if there is a good guide or two to get this to work? Thanks all!
  12. Interesting thread, I've loaded littereally 30 WOAI packages straight into my FSX/SP2 with out any issues, and without converting anything? I see the AI and they seem to park at the right locations....at least where I fly....so, my question is, what does converting flight plans actually do for FSX?Thanks all,
  13. NetNinja,Thanks for the link(s); I was able to download and will try the install tonight!Sincerelly,Ken
  14. Greetings all,I've been trying to find a valid link to download fsinn 1.3, even did a search here in the forums and file library. The only link I can find is:http://www.flightsimworld.com/forums/index...howtopic=146972However, when I try to use the download links, each one comes up with: A connection with the server cannot be establishedAny help sure would be appreciated!
  15. Same here, and it appears out of the dozen or so airports I fly into, this is the only one that this happens to...and only at dusk to night....see-thru blds!
  16. Greetings guys,I have been over at the CLS website looking thru there Tech forums and am wondering what the "bugs galore" are....I see some have reported the GPS mode not working, fuel load not up to par, and some FPS issues in the VC mode....but other than that it looks as if it flys as described...i.e., a "LITE" aircraft. What are some of the other issues folks are having? Thanks,
  17. Vineguy,Thanks for this info, I to have the 7950 in my FX(SP2) rig running the Accelleration(sp2) FSX version; I'll have to give this bird a try...after all it's just a few hours of my time to loose lol!
  18. Greetings Ken,Do you have FSX RTM, SP1 or SP2 installed?Check out the CTD forum for more info on issues with FSX/SP2 vs Nvidia!Ken
  19. Hi Todd,Make sure you read the CTD forum and all the issues folks are having with their Nvidia VS SP2 setups.I for one removed FSX all together. My eVGA 7950GT just didn't play well with SP2. It was the dreaded CTD while trying to access the menu in Full Screen or trying to ALT-ET to get to windowed with the same result that did me in; then once I installed the latest 169 drivers, and setting up NHancer to ensure my Globlal and Profile settings were the same, wala, it fixed it....however the fix on my sys created a sim that couldn't get out of the 9-12 framrate arena...no matter where I flew...unless I turned down my sliders to around a quarter from the left...and honestly, whats the point when you have to turn everything down? So, I'm back to FS9 until I can upgrade or decide to go ATI....and I'm not so sure I want to go that route yet.Read, read, and read again!Ken
  20. Greetings Mitch and all,I noticed you did'nt include your system specs. Well, I for one agree with you, but that is becuase my system just can't handle FSX/SP2. First off, my system:Dell XPS400 2.6ghz (D)eVGA 7950GT 512 PCIe2 Gig Ram (Came with system)160G Seagate HD 7200RMP - System Files160G WD HD 7200RPM - FS and related filesNow, first off I was one of the few who had driver issues with SP2 installed. The latest drivers release 169 series seemed to fix the CTD when trying to access the menues in Full Screen Mode; however this fix "crippled" my FSX with blurries, stutters, and generally low "frame rates". This is with a fresh install, defragging, etc. I used a "clean" fsx.cfg file, since the SP2 was supposed to negate all the .cfg entries of FSX RTM and SP1. Things just wouldn't work, and with the eventuall move of developers creating add-ons for SP2, I decided to remove FSX until I can either upgrade my sys, or just buy a new one when FS11 comes. So, you're not the only one who couldn't run SP2.Cheers all,Ken
  21. Gents,Again, thank you for your replies. I've tried the 169 drivers, and they seem not only to bog down FSX, but everything else on my system as well.I did revert back to the 9x drivers mentioned above, and wow, what a great difference! The sim runs smooth, and looks good as well! Thanks again!Ken
  22. Paul,Yes I do have XP SP2; I'll give those drivers a go, thanks for your reply!Ken
  23. Greetings all.Since my migration back to FS9; I've been having issues with the AA and other settings taking shape. First off, my system specs:Dell XPS400 Dual Core 2.6GeVGA 7950GT 512 PCIe22" Viewsonic LCD2 Gig ram160G 7200rmp HDCurrent drivers are the 163 series; as the 169s I've used seem to slow down my system; or have issues with the monitor; cant quite tell, but it just seems "slow"...like my IE, quicken, etc. Flashes, bluriness....stuff like that.I've been searching here and there on the forums, and have found a few good posts on what folks have setting wise using NHancer, and I've been trying to use them.It seems that no matter what I try, the only way I can get things to work, is in Full Screen Mode. However the issues that arrise are stutters, and slowness; and the fact that I can't use FSNav or anyting else that requires a seperate monitor/window. I go to window'd mode, and I get blurries and jaggies all over the place, no matter if I have the setting is FS checked or unchecked!Thoughts? Thanks all,Ken L.
  24. Gents,I really appreciate your resopnses! REX looks pretty interesting! Now off I go with Creidt Card in hand ;-)Ken L.
