Please note that those are NOT rated by their peers.Delta Virtual was deemed ineligible for an award because they received too many nominations from different pilots (go figure), and United Virtual lost their award because they refused to add a link to that site to their home page.FWIW, British Air Virtual has ~1,200 active pilots and Delta Virtual has ~1,050. Those are the two largest single virtual airlines.Cheers!Luke

I've been looking for a good VA and have two observations:1) There is almost no correlation between size and quality.2) Size relates to number of active members and how active members are defined. A couple of large VAs I looked at have a lot of people who seem to never fly :+ Some of the smaller VAs seem really good. VAs where a lot of people fly online seem to be better run than those that don't. There are exceptions.Just me 2 cents after wasting a lot of time looking.

I second your opinion. I've been having fun with Midcontinent Airlines (formerly America West Virtual Airlines), it's a small airline in regards to members (77, 62 of which are active). They have a small fleet consisting of the Airbus 319-100, 320-200, 330-300, and 321-200; Boeing 737-200, 300, 400, 700, and 800, and the 757-200 and 767-200. We strive to simulate Part 121 operations as realisticly as we can without killing the fun. Part of the reason for the small member base is that we require a flight proficiency check inwhich you submit a flight using our recorder to show your proficiency in naviagating and controlling your aircraft.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. Well,I think that it's complex to define the 10 biggest.First we need to define what is a big VA. Is it based on the number of active pilots ? Fleet ? Total flights ? Total Hours ?Also, it's necessary to define what is the number of active pilots. For instance, on EuroHarmony the number of active pilots are pilots that do 1 flight at least in one month. If we pass for the Inactive pilots then we almost double the value and are pilots that do one flight by 2 months. So, it's not easy. What I suggest is to look at the www.flightsimaviation.com and see the Top Ten VA's there. Those, for me, are the best. And that analysis was done based on many factors (not only the number of pilots). So, for me (and I am suspect), the best VA is EuroHarmony.Regards,Bruno

Big is not necessarily better! The best and biggest VA is the VA I am in ;) Dont need to advertise it because I know its the biggest and best in my eyes thats all that counts.

One important factor in that "analysis" was the willingness to host a banner back to flightsimaviation.com. One other important factor was that if the airline received multiple nominations, it would be disqualified.I'll let you and the other readers of this forum decide wether the criteria used by flightsimaviation.com match those you use in determining your virtual airlines of choice.Cheers!Luke
